[…] It's funny that you say it feels like home. I talk about it in the book as actually we will unconsciously and through implicit information attract people who ironically are familiar and can bring up similar patterns that happened in our home. So we think and are gravitated towards a type and actually it can recreate very painful dynamics and I believe so we can get conscious and heal. So often what we think is safe is really familiar and we need to rethink all of that because safety can feel boring or very intimate or just different to our nervous system. So I actually use the like I talk about one of my relationships is like he felt like home like home for me and then he brought me home to a lot of my earlier trauma and I did heal from it but ironically that sense of home can blow up on us because like we can be attracted to more or less what is familiar and what our trauma body kind of like lingers towards.
