For as long as I can remember, I've processed life with a pen and paper. This podcast is a celebration of words that have changed my life as I journaled my way through painful memories, relationship struggles, raising children, building two businesses, and following my creative dreams.
So while I won't share EVERYTHING (!), I invite you to listen in for some healing words as you build your own beautiful life.
I'm the author of "The Blessed Home," adoptive mom of five, innkeeper, entrepreneur, and always up for a spontaneous road trip!
For many of us, loving is synonymous with giving. Sacrificing. Proving. And after so many years of pouring out to others, we wind up exhausted, hurt, disillusioned, and realizing that we've lost ourselves along the way.
This episode explores the other side of love - Allowing. What if we were brave enough to release the way we've always loved, to pry our fingers off of the familiar patterns and trust in the mystery and beauty of Love that gives to US? In this episode, you'll hear:
1 - The quote about alchemy that inspired this journal entry.
2 - An invitation to hand over all of the parts of your life and allow them to be transmuted into something beautiful. To fully embrace the assignment your soul chose for its earthly journey - to not only give love, but to also allow love.
3 - A time of reflection as you consider what it feels like when Love saturates every cell of your being. <3

A Better Story
As I sat facing an almost impossible "to do" list, the old thoughts began to swirl - spinning along the path of the same tired, overwhelmed storyline. Until something stopped me. Something deep within me that is tired of that story. Something very much wants to do life differently.
This episode is all about releasing the "my life is so crazy" story and choosing different words and thoughts that create a better story. In this episode, you'll hear:
1 - The quote from Cheryl Strayed that inspired this journal entry.
2 - The tired old phrases that we repeat from habit and the better, truer words that can change your entire attitude even in the midst of a busy life.
3 - A Blessing for you as you write (and rewrite) your own beautiful life story.

Sacred Stillness
Most people struggle with silence. Even sitting still is hard. We find ourselves swinging our legs or tapping our fingers - impatient for the next thing. When I try to enter into stillness, I bring all sorts of expectations. Since I meditated, now my day will look like THIS. If I sit here in silence, I'll be flooded with great ideas for my next project.
This journal entry lovingly reminded me that we don't come into presence to "get." So what is the purpose or the point? In this episode, you'll hear:
1 - The quote from Mother Theresa that inspired this journal entry.
2 - The true purpose of stillness and how it shakes up the "performance" programming that surrounds us.
3 - A Blessing for you as you make friends with stillness.

The Beautiful Rising
The power of a grand story doesn't come from a smooth and easy path for the hero. No one would watch a movie like that. Instead, we love our favorite stories for the twists and turns, the agony, the passion, the risks taken, the falling ... and most importantly, we cherish the RISING.
This episode is a love letter straight to your heart. In the moments when you're knocked down and weary, simply rising is the most powerful thing you can do.
You are becoming the hero of your beautiful love story.

Look for the Light
If you're an empath like me, things have felt heavy and dark lately. It can be easy to get sucked into the negative, but what we focus on GROWS. When we find even a GLIMMER of light and speak to it, we can move toward a more peaceful, joyful, and healing place. In this episode, you'll hear:
1 - The quote from Bob Proctor that inspired this journal entry.
2 - How things would change if we could see the whole picture of how each of us is held by Light and Love.
3 - A Blessing for you as you look for the Light in your day.

When Loved One Pulls Away (A message to your hurting heart)
People pull away (need space) for many reasons. While no one enjoys getting the cold shoulder, it's especially difficult for certain personality types, empaths, or those with abandonment/rejection issues. In this episode, I'll share:
1 - The answer I received when I journaled during a LOUD silence from a loved one.
2 - Reasons why our loved ones pull away and the truth about the love you've shared.
3 - What to do while you wait for them to return (instead of obsessing!)

Falling in Love with Silence
Does silence make you squirmy? Silence can be tricky - not only because life is busy, but also because silence can be very LOUD with thoughts and voices we would rather avoid. In this episode, I'll:
1 - Share two reasons why I think I'm uncomfortable with silence
2 - Remember how I USED to spend silence as a child.
3 - Explore how to fall in love with silence once again.
