Episode 2: Making the most of the Spring Sunshine

<p></p><p><strong>In this episode I talk about what changes in your exercise and diet will help keep your energy levels up in Spring.</strong></p><p><strong>I share the recipe for a Spring friendly Ayurvedic breakfast spread:</strong></p><p>Serves 4. Done in 15 mins</p><p>35g fresh baby spinach, 35g rocket2 celery sticks chopped, 1 large avocado mashed, 1 and 1/2 table spoon olive oil, 2 table spoons lemon juice, 2 table spoons pumpkin, sunflower or sesame seeds, 1/2 tea spoon freshly ground pepper, A generous pinch of chilli powder (chilli flakes will do) and salt to taste.</p><p>Blend all the ingredients until you have a spreadable paste. Season to taste with additional salt, lemon juice or pepper. Episode 1: Spring Blues & Spices

<p></p><p>Three tips I share in this episode: </p><p>1. Generously garnish your meals with freshly <strong>ground black pepper, cayenne pepper, chilli oil or radish.</strong></p><p><strong>2. </strong>Sip on warm <strong>ginger or fenugreek tea</strong> before and with your meals. </p><p>3. Trade the mid morning or the late afternoon coffee for <strong>Haldi Doodh</strong>, aka <strong>Golden Latte. </strong><strong>Make your own : </strong></p><p>- Warm a cup of milk. I blend half a cup of milk with 5 cashews and some water. This gives the milk more taste and more nutrition. </p><p>- Add 1/4 tea spoon turmeric powder + a large pinch of ground pepper + a large pinch of cardamom powder + 1 tea spoon of coconut oil. Allow it to simmer for 3-5 minutes. </p><p>- Add in a sweetener if you like. There is a good chance you won't need a sweetner. The cardamom will do the trick.
