Seiring dengan peningkatan produksi perikanan, maka konsumsi ikan oleh masyarakat sangat penting dipacu pertumbuhannya antara lain melalui optimalisasi pasar ikan, mendorong tumbuhnya rumah makan yang meyediakan masakan berbahan baku ikan dan meningkatkan peran para ahli masak profesional dalam menciptakan menu olahan ikan serta menggugah minat masyarakat untuk mengkonsumsi ikan. Banyak manfaat, beragam olahan sehingga 'Tidak ada alasan untuk tidak makan ikan!'
