Conversation with Robert Henry (lead singer and guitarist) and Jacob Mauro (drummer) from Robert Henry and The Repeaters, an Outlaw Country Band from Oregon, USA. #005 - Ron Chant Chapter 3: Ron reacts to newspaper interview and DJ Hondo’s input about ‘Worn Out Cowboy Blues’ performed by Dennis Lowery

After being interviewed by a local reporter, Ron Chant sang and recorded a few of his songs for others to enjoy as well as for the reporter. Then, Ron mics up with DJ Hondo for this episode, Chapter 3, a discussion about the interview that just happened and a variety of other topics including DJ Hondo’s feedback related to ‘Worn Out Cowboy Blues.’ This Hearing is Fun podcast episode was recorded five days after the worldwide radio debut of the song performed and championed by Outlaw Country Artist Dennis Lowery. Produced by Ronn Chick (not to be confused with Ron Chant.) Debuted worldwide on Outlaw Country Radio (KIEV-LP 102.7 fm Camas) on https://www.outlaw.fm (https://www.outlaw.fm/) on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 during DJ Hondo’s STONEJAX O’CLOCK radio show broadcast from the satellite Outlaw Studio on Wednesdays from 4 to 8pm pacific time upstairs at Washougal Times Restaurant and Lounge in Washougal, Washington. Five days after the song release, Ron and DJ Hondo met up at the Outlaw Studio to meet with reporter, Doug Flannigan, who had already conducted a phone interview with Dennis Lowery. The interview went well. Then, Ron sang a few songs with Doug still present. It was great to have another person in the studio to appreciate Ron’s talent, memory and quest. Ron made a cassette tape recording of ‘Worn Out Cowboy Blues.’ Ron showcased some of his homemade, wooden belt buckles. And, then, this episode, Chapter 3, was recorded. #004 - Ron Chant Chapter 2: Ron reacts to radio-ready ‘Worn Out Cowboy Blues’ performed by Dennis Lowery

80-year-old songwriter Ron Chant reacts to a song he wrote, ‘Worn Out Cowboy Blues,’ being professionally sung and produced and played on the radio. This Hearing is Fun podcast episode was recorded two days after the worldwide radio debut of the song performed and championed by Outlaw Country Artist Dennis Lowery. The radio-ready song was produced by Ronn Chick (not to be confused with Ron Chant.) The radio-ready song debuted worldwide on Outlaw Country Radio (KIEV-LP 102.7 fm Camas) on https://www.outlaw.fm (https://www.outlaw.fm/) during DJ Hondo’s STONEJAX O’CLOCK radio show on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023. STONEJAX O'CLOCK is broadcast live from the Outlaw Studio upstairs at Washougal Times Restaurant and Lounge in Washougal, Washington. Ron was introduced to the song on the same day it debuted. An oversight by DJ Hondo was that Ron did not have a way to play the song at home after he heard it for the first time in the Outlaw Studio on Wednesday afternoon. Ron did hear and experience and enjoy the radio debut of 'Worn Out Cowboy Blues' later that same evening. Nevertheless, Ron prefers to listen to music on cassette tape. And, no cassette tape recording of the song was created by the day of the song release for Ron to take home. Two days after the song release, Ron and DJ Hondo met back up in person so Ron could listen to the song more. Ron was adamant about going back through the song line by line which is the foundation of this episode, Chapter 2, the next step of Ron Chant’s journey.
