Fear of embarrassment – what if they won’t respect me if I share it?Didn’t want parents to do something about it, either in front of me, or behind my back / didn’t trust parents.Ultimate reason, is that ainful nature/devil wants to drive a wedge between parent and child. Keep things hidden, stay in your guilt/shame. Our Advice?
For Kids: preface your subject with: “I just want you to listen.” “I need help.”
For Parents: Give permission to the kids to say, “your comments are making me feel this way… “
