Ep 44: Consider It Joy? (James 1:2-4)

Ep 43: We're Back — An Intro to James (James 1:1)
After a few weeks off (post-retreat recovery plus an unexpected eye surgery!), Heart on the Altar is back to weekly episodes — and kicking off a brand new series in the book of James. In this intro episode, Brittani reads through James 1:1-8 for context but zooms all the way in on verse 1, laying the foundation for the whole series: who James actually was (Jesus's half-brother, who didn't believe in Him until after the resurrection), who he was writing to, and why this letter is all about one thing — spiritual maturity. She shares five practical questions for actually living out what you believe instead of just hearing it, including one gut-check story starring her daughter Hazel and a shower she did not want to take.
