14. i.. Surrender...
Episode 14: Season (1) finale. Throughout this season of my life, I've really had to be honest about the very difficult hardships I've endured in life... from early childhood, throughout my teens and my early twenties... after experiencing such intense moments, seeing the wildest things, and just generally having the most interesting stories, I find that my ability to dig deeper and find inner sight into things, has expanded my capacity to be vulnerable when I need to be. That's what HEARTINNERMOST Season One has been all about; entering a space of surrender - different kinds of surrender... the comfortable enjoyable kind and the stripping and overbearing kind. The four pillars have been a channel to learn how surrendering is a final act, when we surrender to purpose, and live in truth.. or surrender to pain, and live in need of healing and shelter... surrendering to our passions, our pleasures... what worlds get created from the abundance of our hearts? Letting go, releasing control, allowing greater purpose to transpire. Admitting to the truth that we are not all mighty, we are not all powerful and we do not know the outcome of most circumstances. Let's face it, we've all had to surrender - to the things that we simply can not manipulate. When we're not the boss, or the author of how things turn out, we find it extremely uncomfortable to say it is well or it is okay. It's not always easy to accept difficult realities. However, when we opt to understand this in/from new perspectives, something in us embraces these various hard truths with strength, clarity, grace and wisdom. This means not being defensive when we're met with honest criticism. When we're forced to watch our shadows unfold, as we face all types of darkness; we should do this with maturity and humility, gratitude and curiosity. Could we imagine the meaning of surrendering to be about feeling great levels of safety - the kind of place where one would land without insecurity. Answer this question: When you think about surrender(ing) what comes to mind?

13. Searching on a Sunday - WYW
Episode 13: LAST SEGMENT OF THE SERIES: WYW. We've been on a journey, of being intentional around naming our days in order to deliberately Work Our Weeks. We've reflected on what it means to take the time to be mindful, to find wellness, expand on our thankfulness, work on our choices, factoring feeling goodness, considering our selves through conscious care... all of these tools and tokens have been riddled into the last 6 listening experiences. Welcome to Soul-searching Sunday. This is characterised to be a day to deeply evaluate our being. A day to connect to our heartinnermost, in ways aligned to our spirit, in order to ground ourselves and to reconfigure for the week ahead. How we go about this could look every Sunday! Whether we're kicking it like an easy Sunday morning, or reckoning with ourselves during a Holy Spirit filled church service, perhaps it's us chilling in a park, or preparing hearty meals to nourish ourselves and loved ones. Sundays a synonymous with rest, comfort, community and soul-searching. Imagine, a day, each week dedicated to look deep down inside your soul, to unearth what's triggering your heartinnermost. As you think about what soul-searching Sunday could look like for you, journal your response to these questions: What am I looking to understand about myself? Who's presence makes me feel big emotions? What is it about them, that makes me feel these ways? What could I be doing differently?

12. Saturday for myself... - WYW
Episode 12: At least one day, should belong to you, selfishly, relentlessly, unapologetically and completely. Welcome to self-care Saturday. This episode really asks us to intererogate our ideas of self-care, moving past the stereotypical, superficial, two minute noodle ready kind of self-care. It's not always easy to be honest with ourself where looking care of our being is concerned. What are our limiting beliefs around what self-consideration, compassion and love look like. Why is it some times difficult for us to regard ourselves as worth to be looked after? The older we get, and the longer and harder we stare and sit in our heartinnermost, the more we realise that nourishment, wellness, advancement, development and various other truths related to improving a quality of living are our personal responsibility. We grow up reliant and dependant on caregivers, teachers and nurturers to be the gravity around are state of being. Though, as time progresses, so does our need to prioritise ourselves, for ourselves. Only then can we properly and wholesomely love our neighbour as we love ourselves. As you grapple with the idea of self-care, chew on these questions: Are we caring for ourselves, or only comforting and distracting ourselves? How can/ is self-care, practically (be) integrated in your life? What do we need in order to flourish?

11. Friday feels, for real! - WYW
Episode 11: Friday carries a ffeffeeling. For some of us, it feels like a deep relief. For others (finally), celebration. A long and deep exhale after a long full week. Here is your gentle reminder that we've made it safely to the weekend. "Mama we made it!" Selah.. Welcome to Feel Good Friday. Receive this personalised extention from me to you, to think differently about goodness. Goodness baby...! Not as something superficial or fake, but as something deeply personal, heartfelt, primitive, human. What does it actually mean to feel good? Think Passion, think Pleasure, think Purpose... hey, think Pain! Let's expand our thoughts around goodness being something we can experience alongside life's complexities? In this feel good flow of a listening experience, listeners are tuned in to explore the many ways goodness has been understood throughout our lives, cultures, philosophies and faith. We consider its relationship with joy, purpose, gratitude, and ultimately, with God Himself. His nature. Long before goodness became something we pursued, it was something He declared. From the very beginning, creation itself bore witness to the goodness of its Creator. Perhaps that is why our heartinnermost stays seeking to connect... AND IT WAS GOOD. Another good moment to reflect. Hope you're enjoy the pod, Dear Listener ! Here's some food for thought: Do I believe God's goodness only when life feels good? What does God's goodness look like in seasons where my prayers feel like they remain unanswered? Have we become so accustomed to hardship that goodness now feels unfamiliar? How often do I tell myself lies about what is good for me? What does goodness feel like to me? Take your time with these ones... Perhaps over the weekend. Love,

10. Thankful, it's Thursday - WYW
Episode 10: Wow. Ten episodes of this very interesting podcast. There feels to be no more fitting theme for this milestone than gratitude. Welcome to the fourth instalment of Working Your Week. Hello, Dear Listener. Thank you for being here. Thank you for sharing your listening ear with me. Thank you for choosing to engage with your heart in ways that only your innermost can understand. I am so glad, and so grateful that we get to experience life in moments. Your attention, and mine, make for a special moment. I am thankful. This episode is an invitation to reflect on gratitude, not simply as something we express, but as a way of living. Living my life like I'm grateful!! Life is beautiful. It is also incredibly difficult. Somehow, the two have always existed together. Though even in the thickness of uncertainty, there is still breath in our lungs, beauty to behold, people to love, lessons to learn, and another day of Mercy, where we get to begin again. In this listening experience, Pelo invites listeners to explore what happens when gratitude is absent, how easily our attention can become consumed by what is missing, and how a grateful heart has the metaphysical power to realign the way we experience the world. Not because our circumstances suddenly change, but because we begin noticing the goodness that has quietly been with us all along. An invisible, and beautiful Truth. Why not think of gratitude as a frequency. A posture. A practice. One that opens our heartinnermosts to receive more joy, more wonder, and more of itself. What are we giving our attention to? And what might change if we chose to be thankful, not only when life is good, but because life, in all its complexity, is still a gift? Let's think about it all, and say to the all.... "you're welcome and thank you!" Ask yourself this: Why should people be grateful for me? What have I been calling "normal" that is actually quite extraordinary? What I likely taking for granted in this chapter of my life?

9. Well, it's Wednesday - WYW
Episode 9: Well, it's Wednesday... I think that calls for a mid-week, pause. What does it really mean to be well? Wellness has become one of the defining conversations of our time, everyone is constantly on about matcha and pilates, to fit the social mold of 'taking care of myself'. I think our understanding of Wellness is often fragmented. We associate it with health, productivity, self-care, balance, or success. But perhaps wellness is something far more expansive, and far more expensive. Or rather, the neglect of our true wellness, is where it becomes expense. Perhaps it is less about what we achieve, and more about the quality of the lives we cultivate from the inside out. The.Inside.Out. Our heartinnermost. This episode is an invitation to consider wellness as a way of being. A continual practice of tending to our sacred and private lives; our minds, our bodies, our heart space, our relationships, our spirituality, our philosophies, and the many stories that quietly shape how we move through the world. There is something deeply symbolic about a well. A well does not produce water only when it is needed; it offers what has been gathered over time. Similarly, we are all becoming wells. Day by day, experience by experience, relationship by relationship, we are filling ourselves with something. The question is not whether we are filling our wells, but with what. And when life inevitably comes to draw from us, what will it find? Perhaps wellness is found in the quiet integration of our humanity. By allowing purpose to give us direction, passion to give us just the right energy, pleasure to remind us to satisfaction, and pain to deepen our capacity for compassion, wisdom, and grace. Wellness is not the absence of hardship, but about the tools we leverage to cultivate wholeness when we may be feeling, spent. Our relationship with wellness is also deeply personal and is constantly evolving. What it meant to be well in one season of life may no longer serve us in another. As we grapple with our identity, our choices, the foundation of our meditations... as we grow, our understanding of fulfilment, rest, meaning, community, and abundance grows with us. Wellness is rarely ours alone. The quality of our inner lives inevitably becomes the quality of our shared lives. It shapes the way we listen, the way we lead, the way we love, the way we create, and the atmosphere we carry into every room we enter. Our wellness becomes something others experience. What better idea to filter through in the middle of our Working Week. The invitation is not simply to pursue wellness, but to embody it. Feel it through your entire being. We want to become people whose hearts are well-watered. People whose presence nourishes. Journal the answers to these questions about Wellness: What brings me a sense of Wellness, within? What is the quality of my Wellness? What fills my well? And what kind of life flows from it? You're welcome.

8. (Ch)(yous)(day) - WYW
Episode 8: I am so happy to have you here for the second day listening experience of the series; Working Your Week. It's Tuesday, spelt like this: "Chooseday". Today we focus on making choices. I used to say, "Choose yourself Tuesday". Therefore, welcome to this particular moment in time, where you're encouraged to be your own centre of choice today. Choice is one of the quietest expressions of power. It doesn't have to be the dramatic, life-altering decisions we spend months preparing for, but simply the ordinary, small choices. Our intentional and unintentional choices accumulate into our ways of being. The thoughts we entertain. The conversations we avoid. The boundaries we honour (or choose not to). The stories we continue telling ourselves. The ones we decide to rewrite. If Monday invited us to be meditative and listen, then Chooseday encourages asks us to respond. To make active choices. Ours is to make these not from urgency, or from fear, not from habit but from meaningful awareness retrieved from the day before. Every choice is also a trade-off. To choose one thing is to let go of another. To say yes is, inevitably, to say no... too. I believe that wisdom isn't found in making perfect decisions, but in making conscious, well-informed ones. To our best ability, of course. Choose Yourself Chooseday is not an invitation towards selfishness. It is an invitation towards responsibility and accountability, through active participation, in our Working Week. This conversation is a passive reminder that we are not merely reacting to life, but rather we should be participating in it. Who's the main character again? We have been given the quiet privilege of Free-Will... to decide what deserves our attention, our energy, our affection and our time. Choosing self is not necessarily about putting oneself above others. Maybe it is about choosing the self that God is proud of, the self that makes powerful and pure choices. Who are we, if we're defined by our choices? Today is an invitation to reclaim our authorship. To take back our power. To own our narrative. Catch it, feel it, let it serve you. Stay Loved and Blessed. Reflect on these questions, and answer them on a Tuesday: Which choices in my life are truly mine, and which have quietly been inherited from expectation, fear, or habit? If today became the beginning of a new chapter, what decision would my future self thank me for making? Where have I surrendered my power by believing I have no choice, when perhaps I have simply forgotten that I do?

7. MMMonday - WYW
Episode 7: Welcome to the first instalment of Working Your Week ... a gentle invitation to begin your week with intention, rather than madness. Mondays have a reputation for asking much from and of us. They arrive carrying expectation, structure, routine, and the quiet pressure to begin...again. Yet, before we move, before we respond, before the week gathers its pace and then miles on with momentum, perhaps there is value in simply... pausing. Meaningful Meditative Monday is an invitation to return to ourselves before we get back to our 'serious' responsibilities. To consider meaning before all the madness, and mighty moves we intend to make. This episode invites us to think about Purpose before productivity and Presence before performance. Join me for a breath. Meditation, in this space, is not about emptying the mind, but about creating room within it. It is the quiet discipline of paying attention — to our thoughts, our heartinnermost, our desires, our fears, and perhaps, to the gentle whisper of God beneath the noise of the week ahead. God speaks in the mediation of our hearts and mind, Dear Listener! What if Mondays were less about surviving the week, and more about setting the posture from which that we'll live it from? What if meaning wasn't something we found at the end of our work, but something we carried into it? Meaningful. Meditative. May this episode encourage you dear Listener to begin gently, thoughtfully, and wholeheartedly. The week has arrived. Oh, but so have we. You're welcome. Check this part out! Write these down somewhere... What part of myself needs my attention before it asks for it louder? What intention do I want to carry into this week, before the world begins making decisions for me? If this week became a reflection diary entry, what story would my heart be telling? Love.

6. Working Your Week [WYW]
Episode 6: NEW SERIES ALERT - Let's think about our week a little differently, with a whole lot more intentionality ! Working Your Week is a mini series in Season One of HEARTINNERMOST that is centred around choosing to be passionate about daily living. Pelo introduces listeners to a personal practice that she's been implementing for years, and she vouches for it's impact. In this episode, we unpack the idea of Working Your Week - a practical and personal tool. This is not about forcing control, but rather about noticing how we enter each day, what we carry with us through out it, and how we respond to the rhythms of our own lives as it unfolds. The week is so familiar to us, almost automatic. It's either super structured, or incredibly 'go with the flow'. Either way, we often live without pause - because the days just come at us. This series gently interrupts that pattern. Each day is approached as it's own experience and container - if you will. The week days shouldn't just be steps toward the weekend, but rather their own space with their own texture, their own flavour and their own carefully curated Purpose. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday… begin to shift when we meet them differently. We do appreciate the weekend though! Cheers! Working Your Week is not a system to perfect, but a practice to partner with. We're invited to think about meaningful ways of working with our week, rather than simply moving through it. Let's ask ourselves this: How do I usually move through my week: intentionally, or on autopilot? What would shift if I treated each day as something to engage with, rather than something to get through? What am I carrying into this week that I may need to put down, or approach differently? If my week could speak, what would it say about the way I move through it?

5. oh GOD, limitless... Powerful
Episode 5: oh God. Let's unpack the Why, the How, the Who, the When and the What. We're discussing the Almighty. What a real pleasure it is to express the passion behind knowing God. In this listening experience, Pelo talks about her faith in the Lord she knows, and the Lord she loves. With the understanding that religion can be a touchy topic, listeners are invited to open their realm of reception to think deeply about this conversation, and the various ideas of Truth that are proposed. This episode is the first listening experience that isn't topical. It's the first exploration of HEARTINNERMOST that unpacks a real piece of Pelo, and listeners get to encounter a different side to her. It's a special take, a gentle one, and a welcoming one. More than anything this is a praise offering, that invites listeners take part, if they so please. The title of this episode is intended to spark the idea that God, is limitless and He is indeed oh so Powerful. What does that mean to all of us? How do we interpret limitlessness, and what do we know it to be? By thinking of this we get to understand that there is so much more to the mind, to our human being and to our entire reality than what we allow ourselves to regularly tap into. HEARTINNERMOST is a channel for us to explore the real depth of our existence, and if we're Created by a Powerful and limitless Creator... what does that holistically mean? This channel invites listeners to dig deep... even if it is for a few moments. God exists in our passions, our pleasures, our purpose and our pain. If this doesn't feel true to you... be open for (your) HEARTINNERMOST to challenge this. Get cozy, be receptive and tap in. Dear listener, you're so welcome and may you be blessed! Here are a few personal thoughts to ponder on: If God is present beyond my understanding, what does it mean to trust Him even when my experiences seem to contradict what I believe? Why is it important to think about God? In the places where my heart aches or resists, is there an invitation from God... not to escape the feeling, but to encounter Him more honestly within it? Where do I notice God in the quiet moments of my day, not just the big ones? How can I be more like God?

4. Pain that punches
Episode 4: Ouch, that hurt! But we gotta roll with the punches. In this listening experience, Pelo invites listeners to think about Pain. Too often, Pain is approached with urgency: to soften it, to rationalise it, to move beyond it. Yet, in doing so, we risk overlooking what it holds. This episode resists that impulse. It creates a deliberate pause... a slowing down, in which Pain is neither dismissed nor dramatized, but engaged with thoughtfully. Pain is simply part of life... it's something we can't escape. We experience pain through external factors, through personal affliction, and many times we cause Pain unto each other. How can an imperfect life be devoid of imperfect circumstances; painful circumstances? Not possible. Let us then, explore - what is possible. This is not an attempt to overlook Pain, certainly not glorify it either. It's not even an effort offer resolution. Rather, it is a moment to acknowledge it, to hold it with a certain steadiness of awareness, and to allow it to exist in it's fullness. More times than not, we let Pain fester in our HEARTINNERMOST without addressing it... and that's where, when and how things manifest into things and realities potentially more harmful than necessary. This is an invitation to rewrite our painful understandings and to frame them differently... with the acceptance that Pain isn't biased, it's non-partial, and it's real - for you to experience, dear human being. Come. Let us bare witness to our mind, body and soul as we open up doors that reveal parts of ourselves we typically choose to discount. It's important. You are important. Let us sigh together... you're absolutely welcome. Here are some questions for us to reflect on: What am I afraid might happen if I truly sit with my pain, without distraction? Why? Where have I mistaken numbness for healing? Why does this pain feel so personal; what does it say about my values, my emotions and my needs?

3. A passionate Passion
Episode 3: Let's talk about all things PASSION. Mmm, is this invisible reality something hard hitting, or is it a gentle flow inside your HEARTINNERMOST? In this listening experience, Pelo invites us to think about how we relate to the notion of passion, and how we interact with our passions as a powerful force and source in our lives. Passion isn't something that's always clear or obvious though, is something that remains true in our daily lives. How deep can we go? How deep do we go? How intense can we become, and what's stopping us from existing in the fullness of our passion. May Passion be a thread that keeps finding us, wherever we are; Passion that is rooted in good virtue. You're welcome to sit with this conversation, perceiving passion not as something to find, but something to notice. Passion is 1 of the 4 central pillars of HEARTINNERMOST, and will be woven into various episodes of this podcast. Come gently, and see what within you is already speaking. You're invited to truthfully explore yourself. Consider these questions, to sit with: What do I desire, beneath what I think I should want? Are my desires mine, or have they been shaped by expectation? If I stopped searching for purpose, what would I start noticing instead? What feels worthy of my devotion?

2. Meaning, meaning Purpose
Episode 2: Beginning the conversation around PURPOSE The word Purpose appears again and again in this episode — deliberately so. Can you count how many times? Winner gets invisible Love from Pelo! Rather than rushing to define it's meaning, this listening experience slows the word down, turning it over gently, allowing it to reveal its layers. Purpose is explored not only as destination or calling, but as something inseparable from reason and meaning — something present in the big things and the bland, alike. This episode reflects on the idea that nothing exists without intention: not our thoughts, not our experiences, not even the moments we dismiss as mundane. Listeners are invited to looking at reframing the idea of Purpose; as something lived, moment by moment, rather than something to be found once and for all. As the first introduction to Purpose as a central pillar of HEARTINNERMOST, this episode does not aim to resolve the question — merely kick-start the journey. This listening experience acts as a starting point for many more conversations to come as we continue to explore purpose as a living, evolving part of the inner life. You're welcome. Consider these questions to sit with: If purpose is already present in every moment, what changes when we stop searching for it and begin recognising it?. If purpose isn’t something to solve, but something to observe, what might you start paying attention to differently?
