<p>It is easy to see what is wrong. The mess, the disappointments, the unanswered prayers, the things we wish were different. But what if we are missing the ways God is working because we are only looking at what is lacking? In this episode Chelsey and Kylee dig into what Scripture says about choosing to look for the good, not because life is always easy, not because faith means pretending everything is fine, but because as Christians we are called to see the world through the eyes of hope. From mud covered kids to tacos delivered to a tired husband to a story about infertility and trust that will stop you in your tracks, this one is full of real life goodness.His mercies are new every morning. Not weekly. Not when you finally get it together. Every single morning you get a fresh start.</p><p>Just because someone else is being blessed does not mean you are not. Comparing blessings is just pride in disguise.</p><p>Guilt is God nudging you toward change. Shame is the devil keeping you stuck. Know the difference and get out of the shame cycle by returning to him.</p><p>Everything that is worthy of praise, think about these things. Even on the worst days there is something. Find the small pocket of good and start there.</p><p>The first thought just comes sometimes. But the second thought is always a choice.</p><p>His timing is always perfect. Even when you cannot see why. Especially when you cannot see why.</p><p>Serving others is one of the fastest ways to start seeing the good again. It gets you out of your own head and into his hands.</p><p>Be the good so that people can see it. You do not have to post Bible verses to reflect Christ. You just have to show up with love.</p><p>The sufferings of right now are not worth comparing to the glory that is coming. The messy house, the hard season, the kid going through something, it is not the end of the story.</p><p><strong>VERSES COVERED</strong></p><p>Lamentations 3:21-23, 25, 40 -- The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies are new every morning. The Lord is good to those who wait for him. Let us examine our ways and return to the Lord.</p><p>Sirach 39:17, 33 -- In God's time all things will be sought after. The works of the Lord are all good and he will supply every need in its hour.</p><p>Philippians 4:8 -- Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.</p><p>1 Thessalonians 5:15-18 -- See that none of you repays evil for evil but always seek to do good to one another. Rejoice always. Pray constantly. Give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.</p><p>Romans 8:28 -- We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.</p><p><br></p>

<p>Your gift is not an accident. God put something specific in you on purpose, for a purpose. The thing that feels totally normal and easy to you is probably someone else's mystery.</p><p>Each person is skillful in their own work. You cannot copy and paste someone else's calling. You have to find your unique.</p><p>Your gifts are not just for you. They are meant to be shared. If you are a great artist, share it. If you bring people together, start something. Someone out there needs exactly what you carry.</p><p>When you truly enjoy your work it does not feel like work. That is not an accident either. That is a sign.</p><p>The world keeps telling us to find ourselves but the Bible tells us to die to ourselves. He creates the new self. We just have to stop getting in the way.</p><p>Do your work quietly, faithfully, and on purpose. Not to prove anything. For the kingdom.</p><p>If something keeps stirring in your heart, there is a reason. He did not put it there for nothing. The seeds people keep planting around you, those are not coincidences either.</p><p>What seems totally normal and obvious to you is probably not obvious to anyone else. That is your gift. That is your thing.</p><p><strong>VERSES COVERED</strong></p><p>Ben Sirach 38:29, 31, 34 -- The potter at his wheel, deeply concerned over his work. All these rely upon their hands and each is skillful in his own work. They keep stable the fabric of the world and their prayer is in the practice of their trade.</p><p>Sirach 33:17, 22 -- Consider that I have not labored for myself alone but for all who seek instruction. Excel in all that you do and bring no stain upon your honor.</p><p>Ecclesiastes 3:10-11, 22 -- He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has put eternity into man's mind. There is nothing better than that a man should enjoy his work, for that is his lot.</p><p>2 Thessalonians 3:11-13 -- Do their work in quietness, to earn their own living. Do not be weary in well doing.</p><p>Exodus 36:1-2 -- Every able man in whom the Lord has put ability and intelligence. Everyone whose heart stirred him up to come to do the work.</p><p><br></p>
