In Luke 14, verse 28, he says, For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost? Following Jesus costs something. Something it costs a great deal. But notice who Jesus says is supposed to calculate it. I love this in Luke 14. Does not he first sit down? And calculate the cost. It's the person considering follow him who's instructed to do that.
