Just Reach for Jesus
Sometimes the seasons we prayed for are still hard seasons. In this episode of the Heaven Meets Home Podcast, Rachel shares honestly about her experience with postpartum blues and what it looked like to cling to Jesus in the beautiful, exhausting, and messy moments of early motherhood. Looking at the woman who reached through the crowd to touch Jesus’ garment in Mark 5:25–34, we’re reminded that faith doesn’t always look like having everything together. Sometimes it looks like one trembling hand reaching for Jesus and simply saying, “I need You.” Maybe your “crowd” looks like sleepless nights, bottles in the sink, another load of laundry, a crying baby, the mental load, or trying to care for everyone when you have almost nothing left to give. You don’t have to escape the ordinary to encounter Jesus. He can meet you right there. Together, we’ll also look at Romans 5:3–5, 2 Corinthians 4:17–18, and Revelation 21:4 as we talk about suffering, perseverance, hope, and keeping an eternal perspective in difficult seasons. Eternal perspective doesn’t mean pretending the hard thing isn’t hard. It means remembering the hard thing isn’t the whole story. This week’s Sacred Ordinary invitation is simple: choose one everyday moment—feeding the baby, making coffee, folding laundry, washing dishes, or rocking your child—and pause to pray: “Jesus, I reach for You here.” The Lord is near. Heaven can meet you right here at home. 🤍 SCRIPTURE: Mark 5:25–34 Romans 5:3–5 2 Corinthians 4:17–18 Revelation 21:4 Psalm 145:18 A NOTE ABOUT POSTPARTUM MENTAL HEALTH: This episode shares Rachel’s personal experience with postpartum blues and is not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care. Postpartum depression and anxiety can be serious and may require professional support. Seeking help does not mean you lack faith. If you’re experiencing persistent sadness, anxiety, hopelessness, frightening thoughts, or thoughts of harming yourself or your baby, please reach out to a healthcare professional or someone you trust. If you’re in immediate danger, contact emergency services. In the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Everyday Encounters with an Extraordinary God. Jesus Wept
Episode 5: Jesus Wept — The God Who Grieves With Us What if your tears aren’t a sign that your faith is failing? In John 11, Jesus stood outside the tomb of Lazarus knowing resurrection was coming—and still, Jesus wept. In this deeply personal episode of Heaven Meets Home, Rachel Christine shares pieces of a season marked by family brokenness, loss, uncertainty, and moments involving her young daughter that led her back to those two powerful words: Jesus wept. Together, we’ll look at what Scripture teaches us about grief, biblical lament, and the heart of a Savior who is not distant from our pain. Through the story of Lazarus, the honest prayers of David, and the hope of the resurrection, we’ll discover that grief and faith can exist in the same heart. You’ll be encouraged to pour out the parts of your heart you may have been afraid to bring to God—and to remember: God sees every tear. The Spirit helps you in your weakness. Jesus intercedes for you. And while Jesus wept outside Lazarus’ tomb, the story didn’t end there. The Jesus who cried outside Lazarus’ tomb would eventually walk out of His own. So if you’re grieving a person, a relationship, a season, an unanswered prayer, or something no one else seems to see, this episode is for you. The Lord is near. 🤍 Scripture referenced: John 11:35; Psalm 13; Psalm 22; Psalm 56:8; Psalm 62:8; Romans 8:26, 34; Hebrews 7:25; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–14; Revelation 21:4 #JesusWept #ChristianPodcast #GriefAndFaith #HeavenMeetsHome #BiblicalLament

When Love Meets Us in the Dirt
Sometimes love doesn’t stand above you and tell you to get back up. Sometimes love gets down on the ground with you. In this episode of Heaven Meets Home, I’m sharing how an ordinary afternoon pulling weeds—and the unexpected response of my two-year-old daughter—became a beautiful reminder of the way Jesus meets us in our pain. When she saw me fall, she left the swing set she loved, came running over, and got down on the ground beside me. And in that simple moment, God reminded me of something I desperately needed to remember: He is not distant from our pain. He comes close. We’ll talk about the people who stay when life gets messy, what it means to “mourn with those who mourn,” and Jesus’ warning that the love of many will grow cold. We’ll also look at the heart of the Gospel—the God who didn’t remain distant from our suffering, but entered it. Jesus understands our weakness, our rejection, our grief, and our pain. In a world where love can so easily grow cold, may we be people whose hearts remain tender. People who notice. People who pray. People who show up. People who are willing to be interrupted. And when someone we love falls, may we be willing to leave our own “swing set” behind and get down in the dirt with them. 🤍 Scripture References Romans 12:15 Matthew 24:12 Psalm 34:18 Hebrews 4:15 Hebrews 13:5 Scripture quotations taken from The Holy Bible, New International Version® (NIV®). His Hands Were Bound
What does surrender really look like when the thing in front of you is painful, uncertain, or completely outside of your control? In this episode of the Heaven Meets Home Podcast, Rachel Christine reflects on Jesus' journey to the cross—the One who willingly allowed His hands to be bound, even though He had all authority to walk away. Through Scripture, personal testimony, and an honest look at surrender, we'll consider what it means to loosen our grip on the people, circumstances, and outcomes we've been desperately trying to control and place them back into the hands of Jesus. Because surrender isn't defeat. Sometimes surrender is simply saying: Jesus, You are Lord. I trust You with what I can't control. Not my will, but Yours be done. And in this week's Sacred Ordinary, we'll practice that surrender in a simple, tangible way—opening our hands before Jesus and giving back to Him what was never ours to carry alone. His hands were bound so that ours could be set free. Jesus I Can't Do This Alone
Have you ever reached the place where you simply had nothing left—and all you could pray was, “Jesus, I can’t do this alone ?" In this episode of Heaven Meets Home, Rachel Christine shares about the moments when life feels too heavy to carry in your own strength—and the beautiful truth that Jesus never asked you to. Sometimes surrender doesn’t look like having the perfect words or a perfectly put-together faith. Sometimes it looks like standing in the middle of the ordinary, the overwhelming, and the uncertain and simply saying, “Jesus, I need You.” If you’re walking through motherhood, loneliness, exhaustion, uncertainty, or a season that feels like more than you can handle, this episode is a reminder that you were never meant to carry it alone. Jesus is near. He meets us in our weakness. He meets us in our homes. And He meets us right in the middle of the moments when we realize how desperately we need Him. Come as you are. Take a breath. And let this be your reminder: You don’t have to do this alone. Welcome home. 🤍 Heaven Meets Home — Everyday Encounters with an Extraordinary God

The Lord Is Near
Episode 1 — The Lord Is Near What if God is closer than we realize—even in the most ordinary moments of our lives? In the very first episode of Heaven Meets Home, Rachel Christine shares the personal story behind the ministry: from coming to know Jesus at home as a little girl, to walking through one of the hardest seasons of her life as a pregnant military wife and mother, to experiencing the presence of Jesus in ways that forever changed how she sees God. Through pregnancy, postpartum, loneliness, fear, and moments when life felt anything but beautiful, Rachel began discovering a simple truth: The Lord is near. This episode is an invitation to encounter Jesus not only in extraordinary moments, but in the everyday ones—the nursery, the sleepless nights, the tears, the prayers whispered when no one else is listening, and the places where we finally realize we cannot do life on our own. If you're walking through a difficult season, wondering whether God sees you, or simply longing to know Him more personally, this episode is for you. “The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.” — Psalm 145:18 Welcome to Heaven Meets Home — Everyday Encounters with an Extraordinary God. Come as you are. Jesus is near. 🤍

Welcome
Have you ever wondered... if Heaven is closer than you think? Not just in church... not only during worship... but in your kitchen... around your dinner table... while folding laundry... driving to work... or sitting quietly with your morning coffee? What if God has been pursuing you... even in the ordinary moments? Welcome to Heaven Meets Home. I'm your host, Rachel Christine. This is more than a podcast. It's an invitation... to discover that the presence of God isn't reserved for extraordinary places. His heart has always been to dwell with His people. To meet us... right where we are. Heaven Meets Home began with one simple prayer. "Lord... show me Your heart." I wasn't asking for a ministry. I wasn't looking for a podcast. I simply wanted to know Him more. And in one of the quietest moments of my life... Jesus answered. Not through thunder. Not through spectacle. But through a gentle whisper. He said... "Home is where My heart is." Those words changed everything. Because I realized God's greatest desire isn't simply that we visit Him once a week. His desire is to make His home with us. In our marriages. In our families. In our conversations. In our celebrations. In our heartbreak. In our ordinary, everyday lives. Because when Jesus is welcomed into an ordinary home... He does extraordinary things. Every week we'll gather around stories of radical faith... powerful testimonies... answered prayers... divine appointments... miracles... and everyday encounters with an extraordinary God. Not to glorify people... but to glorify the God who still heals... still speaks... still delivers... still restores... and still changes lives today. Because He is the same yesterday... today... and forever. Psalm 145:4 says, "One generation shall declare Your works to another and shall proclaim Your mighty acts." For centuries, families gathered together to tell stories of God's faithfulness. Children grew up hearing how God provided. How He rescued. How He healed. How He remained faithful. Those stories became the foundation of generations. Somewhere along the way... we stopped telling them. My prayer is that Heaven Meets Home becomes a place where those stories live again. Where faith is strengthened. Hope is restored. And the next generation learns that our God is still moving today. Psalm 145:18 reminds us, "The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth." Friend... wherever you're listening from today... whether you're full of faith... or barely holding on... my prayer is that before this episode ends... you'll know... not just in your mind... but in your heart... that the Lord is near. So pour yourself a cup of coffee... find a comfortable place... and let's discover together... what happens... when Heaven meets Home. Welcome home.
