I Do Not Want That Job
<p>If you're similar to me in that you have struggled with confidence for the greater part of your life, you're probably:</p> <p>a) tired of that struggle</p> <p>b) wanting to feel "regular" in your social media presence (the way we assume everyone else feels)</p> <p>c) getting annoyed of being told how brave you are</p> <p>Having a visible difference often times comes with a lot of explanation - of what's going on, of how it makes you feel, and practically having to justify your presence whenever you make a choice that seems "abnormal" for someone with your difference to make.</p> <p>While advocacy is important, being put in a position to feel like you have to take on the victim role is not. You can be an advocate just by existing. In this episode, I express my exact thoughts on these concepts.
