Leaving the decade of our 20's and entering our 30's, many of us feel we have finally hit our prime. We've made the mistakes, we've learned the lessons, we have mapped out our entire future by now ..... or have we? HelloLaRee is the diary of a fashion marketing grad student in her 30's navigating the highs and lows of leaving her corporate job to start her agency @BLNYMedia, while finishing a masters degree in NYC. Each episode will present you with a well thought out (potentially hilarious) opinionated diary session on a social hot topic as well as marketing & branding tips for the week.
Hey everyone! Here is an update on what's been going on with me these last couple weeks along with a very, very brief description of my new Build Your Confidence, Build Your Brand program!

I Do Not Want That Job
If you're similar to me in that you have struggled with confidence for the greater part of your life, you're probably:
a) tired of that struggle
b) wanting to feel "regular" in your social media presence (the way we assume everyone else feels)
c) getting annoyed of being told how brave you are
Having a visible difference often times comes with a lot of explanation - of what's going on, of how it makes you feel, and practically having to justify your presence whenever you make a choice that seems "abnormal" for someone with your difference to make.
While advocacy is important, being put in a position to feel like you have to take on the victim role is not. You can be an advocate just by existing. In this episode, I express my exact thoughts on these concepts. Feel free to DM me your feedback or comment on my IG post of this episode @BLNYMedia to keep the conversation going!

Episode 1: All the Little Fires ....
It's a new era! I started a podcast and you're invited to check out this week's episode, a BRAND NEW first episode in the first season of my podcast, HelloLaRee! Welcome, and THANK YOU for being here! Have you ever found yourself feeling like you have to put out every single human created fire that is set in your path? From someone speaking negatively about your character to another person's actions that inconveniently take you away from the important things in your life. I certainly have. How can we overcome the need to constantly feel like we have to defend ourselves in a world where pleasing everyone is just impossible. This week I wanted to check in and talk about how I chose to approach these little fires in my life from the lessons I have learned trying to put each one out.
