This podcast is a conversation between two political castaways who are trying to be a voice for others like us who feel like you've lost your voice in the current highly partisan political landscape or in other situations.
On this episode of "Help! I've Lost My Voice!" we discuss the need for the separation of powers and checks and balances in the government. We also discussed how the actions of Trump, Musk, and DOGE have violated the separation of powers and how Congress and the Supreme Court are failing to properly exercise their checks and balances on the Executive Branch.

Assembling a Cabinet like it was Purchased at IKEA
In this episode, we discussed President-elect Trump's cabinet picks. Trump's selections are very clearly political favors for those who have been most loyal to him. Even though it has often been done the same way in the past, it does beg the question: Why can't we have a president who will select cabinet members based on experience, expertise, and qualifications instead of loyalty to the president?

On this episode, we talk about reactions to the presidential election, our reactions and reactions that we've seen from others. No Matter the Result, We Should Accept the Result
Even if we don't like the results of an election, it's important to accept the results, especially once all legal challenges are exhausted. Continuing to insist that an election was stolen when there's no evidence is bad for everyone. If there are issues with the voting system, we should try to fix them, not just fight about them.

Your Vote Matters!
Since election day is rapidly approaching, we figured we should probably take this opportunity to talk about voting. We have the right to vote, but we should also remember that we have a responsibility to vote to make our voice heard and that we should accept the results of the election even if it doesn't turn out in favor of our preferred candidates.

Won't Somebody Please Think of the Children?
TW: Although it is not the subject of the episode, we do briefly discuss abortion.
I was always taught growing up that equal opportunity in education already existed and that every student in America had the same opportunity to succeed as long as they put in enough work. I later learned how wrong I was in believing that. More needs to be done and the solutions exist.

Huddled Masses Yearning to Breathe Free? Sorry No Vacancy
Neither major political party has or really even cares about a real solution to immigration. The far left wants fully open borders and the far right wants fully closed borders. As usual the solution involves compromise and working together.

Not Invited to the Party
The caucus and convention system and the primary elections exclude people from the voting process, either intentionally or unintentionally. Open primaries and having all presidential primaries on the same day could be solutions to the problem.

The Biggest Lie
