Summer Special with World Cup Winner Sadia Kabeya MBE
<p>Her Journey is excited to announce Sadia Kabeya MBE onto the pod for an exciting summer special. She's a dynamic force in women's rugby known for her power, leadership, relentless work ethic and someone who is inspiring the next generation of athletes. In this episode we delved into her career starting at Streatham-croydon, then her time at Richmond women and how she was able to gain skills and experience from playing with some of the top players and where her journey led her to play for Loughborough Lightning. </p><p>We discussed how the call up happened for her international career to begin for England which led her onto winning the England Rugby World Cup and winning the Grand Slam six nations championship. Not only is she a champion she also has herself an MBE. We listened to Sadia talk about the day experience of getting an MBE and how she was honoured with this achievement. <p>On the bench this week we have Reading Fc women's manager Ed Jackson-Norris and Reading Fc defender Sarah Thompson on the pod. In this week's episode we delve into both their careers within football from where Ed's coaching career started to where Sarahs playing career started at Reading Fc during her youth career. We talk about both their times at Maidenhead and we reminisce on the couple of seasons they had together winning trophies and winning cup finals. Not long after they both made the move to Reading Fc women's during a testing time not knowing if the team would fold but both trusted the process. The team around Ed trusted his coaching skills and knowledge to give Reading a good chance at getting up the table and have succeeded at that this season finishing high up in the league. </p>

<p>On the bench this week we have Fleet Spurs assistant manager Hollie on the pod. In this episode we delve into Hollie's playing career from youth level into women's football and how she balanced motherhood and football at the same time speaking about the struggles she went through. She also talks about how she copes day to day with her ADHD and how she is a big role model for young girls going through what she went through and being a voice for them to know they are not alone. As Hollie is stepping up to be assistant manager we spoke about what she brings to the role and the ambitions she has for fleet spurs women for short term goals and long term goals and the community she really wants to create within the team.</p>
