   016. Healing the Original Wound with Dr. Sobyl Bunis

Welcome back to Here, Now, Human. What if some of the patterns shaping your life began long before you were even aware of them?In this conversation, I'm joined by Dr. Sobyl Bunis, founder of The Emotional Clearing House, to explore how emotional trauma can become stored in the nervous system, how inherited patterns influence the way we move through life, and why healing begins when we find the original root rather than simply managing the symptoms. This episode is especially personal for me. I share my own Emotional Clearing session with Sobyl and how uncovering the experience of a vanished twin transformed lifelong patterns of fear, abandonment, and relationships in ways I never expected. It became a powerful reminder that healing is often less about fixing ourselves and more about releasing what was never ours to carry in the first place. One of the things I love most about Sobyl's work is that it isn't limited by geography. Through her remote Emotional Clearing sessions, she's helped people around the world uncover the roots of long-held emotional patterns and experience profound transformation—showing that meaningful healing can happen wherever you are.Together, we explore what becomes possible when we approach healing with curiosity, compassion, and the belief that our greatest freedom may lie beneath the stories we've always believed about ourselves.✨ In this episode, we explore:How emotional trauma becomes stored in the nervous systemThe concept of Vanished Twin Syndrome and its lasting emotional impactFinding the earliest, deepest, and original root of emotional patternsWhy our triggers can become powerful guides for healingHow inherited beliefs and ancestral experiences influence our livesThe role of relationships in revealing what still longs to be healedMy personal Emotional Clearing experience and the profound shifts that followedHow Sobyl facilitates Emotional Clearing sessions remotely with clients around the worldWhy individual healing creates ripples that extend into families, communities, and the collectiveConnect with Sobyl Bunis:Website: https://emotionalclearinghouse.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/emotionalclearinghouse/ Email: sobyl@emotionalclearinghouse.comConnect with me:Website: https://www.manuelawelton.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/manuelawelton/Substack: https://manuelawelton.substack.com/If this conversation resonates with you, I'd love for you to subscribe, leave a review, and share this episode with someone who may need it today.Thank you for being here, now, human.

   014. How to Become More You: Ezzie Spencer on Quintessence

Welcome back to Here, Now, Human. In this conversation, I’m joined by Ezzie Spencer for a deeply expansive and intimate dialogue on identity, presence, and what it means to live in alignment with your essence. What unfolds is a reflective exchange that moves between soul-level recognition and grounded human experience—from the feeling of immediate connection and synchronicity upon meeting, to the everyday practices that shape how we relate to ourselves, our bodies, and the world around us. We explore what it means to return to your “quintessence”—your essential self—and how practices like gratitude, embodiment, and self-inquiry become anchors for living in truth rather than performance. At its core, this episode is about authenticity as a lived practice, not an idea—and how the body becomes the place where clarity, compassion, and self-trust actually land. ✨ In this episode, we explore: The experience of instant recognition and synchronicity between people Shared symbols, meaning-making, and the stories we build around connection “Quintessence” and the daily practice of returning to your essence Authenticity vs. performance, and the courage to be fully yourself Magnetism, resonance, and why some connections deepen while others dissolve Gratitude practices and their role in shaping perception and emotional state Health as a form of self-experimentation, data, and long-term awareness Prevention, discipline, and the quiet power of consistency The body as the gateway to self-compassion and emotional integration Why presence and sensation matter more than intellectual understanding Navigating criticism, projection, and emotional reactivity Intellectual humility and the limits of what we actually “know” Original thought, lived experience, and evolving truth Presence as a healing force in relationships and everyday life Self-forgiveness, emotional regulation, and breaking inner loops Love, belonging, and the human need to be seen and met How authenticity is not a destination—but a continuous return This conversation is a reminder that presence is often more transformative than insight—and that the body is where truth becomes real. And that living as yourself isn’t something you achieve once, but something you practice continuously. If this episode resonates, I’d love to hear what landed for you. — Manuela ✨ Connect with Ezzie: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ezziespencer/?hl=en Website: https://www.ezziespencer.com/about Connect with me: Website: www.manuelawelton.com Work with me 1:1: https://www.manuelawelton.com/appoint... 014. Beyond the Noise: Finding Meaning in Creation

In this episode, I open up about the realities and challenges of bringing a creative vision to life, especially when doubt and uncertainty arise. This is an honest reflection on what it truly takes to launch something meaningful — honoring the process, the people who support us, and the courage required to move forward even when the path isn’t clear. I talk about the dance between contraction and expansion that comes with creating, and how the journey often asks us to confront our own fears and inner judgments more than anything outside ourselves. I share the hope that through this platform, we can explore different perspectives, grow through vulnerability, and reconnect with deeper parts of ourselves and each other. ✨ The sacredness of the creative process and honoring every step ✨ Navigating self-doubt and the noise of the mind ✨ The power of community and support behind every dream ✨ Accessing source, connection, and healing through creativity ✨ Expanding into your vision even when fear is present This is an invitation: step into your creative act, whatever it looks like for you. Paint, write, dance, share your story — and don’t let fear hold you back from building the world you envision. 013. Moving Through Uncertain Times

In this episode, I speak about the fear of losing control during deeply divisive and uncertain times, and what it means to stay grounded within ourselves as the world around us feels increasingly chaotic. This is an invitation to reconnect with your body, your emotions, and your inner compass — especially when external systems and structures feel unstable.I share reflections on collective grief, compassion, consciousness, and the importance of not bypassing our own humanity in the midst of global pain. We explore how fear, anger, and uncertainty can become opportunities for deeper awareness, healing, and connection — both individually and collectively. I also talk about: Navigating fear and uncertainty in divisive times Releasing the illusion of control and surrendering to the present The importance of feeling emotions through the body Compassion, collective consciousness, and healing Choosing presence, community, and love over fearConnect with me:Website: www.manuelawelton.comInstagram: @manuelaweltonSubstack: @manuelawelton

   012. Planting Seeds, Finding Self

Welcome back to Here, Now, Human.I’m joined by two powerful voices in the somatic and spiritual space, Sah D’Simone and his partner Nathan Hirschaut, for a conversation that feels both grounding and expansive—one that bridges land, body, relationship, and truth. This episode is an invitation to remember something simple, yet deeply radical: that life changes when we shift from extraction to reciprocity. With nature. With others. With ourselves. We explore what it means to live in relationship—to the earth, to community, to the body—and how that connection reshapes everything from our nervous systems to our sense of purpose and belonging. From leaving city life to tending land, from silence retreats to somatic dance floors, this conversation weaves together embodiment, healing, and the courage to live differently.✨ In this episode, we explore:Reciprocity with nature and the impact of disconnectionWhy generosity is the foundation of true wealthLeaving the “collective hallucination” of city identityFarming, land stewardship, and nervous system healingThe illusion of status, money, and external validationLoneliness, community, and why relationships are the pointThe fear of judgment—and how to move beyond it“Micro-judgments” and reclaiming inner authorityDance as a portal to self-awareness and liberationThe body as a mirror for belief systems and emotional patternsSilence, retreats, and meeting the chaos withinMetacognition and “awareness of awareness”Letting go of emotional charge from past experiencesOriginal thought, authentic movement, and self-trustCreating a life rooted in connection, not performanceThis conversation is a reminder that freedom isn’t something we achieve—it’s something we uncover when we stop abandoning ourselves. That the smallest step—the smallest seed—can change everything. And that a life of connection, presence, and generosity might be the most meaningful form of wealth we can cultivate.Where in your life are you still performing… instead of relating? And what would shift if you chose connection over convenience?I’d love to hear what resonated most. 011. Grief, Love, and the Body

In this episode, I share a powerful experience from my time in Colombia that brought me back to my roots — and face-to-face with what truly matters. Through a near-death moment, I realized that it’s not our achievements or identities that stay with us, but the love we’ve shared and the relationships we’ve nurtured. I also open up about accessing deeper layers of grief, allowing emotions to move through the body, and the truth that healing isn’t linear. This is an invitation to pause, feel, and reconnect with your body — and to remember that the depth of your grief is connected to the depth of your love. ✨ Near-death perspective on love and relationships ✨ Grief as a layered, ongoing process ✨ Feeling and releasing emotions through the body ✨ Returning to your roots and inner child ✨ Choosing presence, awareness, and gratitude Connect with me:Website: www.manuelawelton.comInstagram: @manuelaweltonSubstack: @manuelawelton

   010. Moving Energy, Tending Roots, Choosing Love

In this episode, I invite you back into your body and into movement. We begin with shaking — a simple but powerful way to move energy, release freeze, and regulate the nervous system. It’s a practice that helped me shift out of my own stuck state, and I offer it to you here. From there, I reflect on something deeper: what truly matters. While sitting in the jungle in Colombia, I had a clear realization — when we leave this planet, it’s not our achievements or titles that stay with us. It’s the love we shared. The way we showed up for the people around us.We explore endings and beginnings, heartbreak and collective change, and how grief can open us to a deeper access to the heart. I also share why tending to your roots — your family, your foundation, your relationships — is essential if you want your gifts to grow in a sustainable way.Shaking and movement to release freezeWhy love matters more than achievement Tending your roots before reaching outward Art and creativity as nervous system regulation A call for elders, artists, and healers to step forwardThis episode is an invitation to move, to create, to connect — and to remember that love is the blueprint.Connect with me:Website: www.manuelawelton.comInstagram: @manuelaweltonSubstack: @manuelawelton

   008. Speaking as Creation: Words, Frequency & Becoming Who You Are

Welcome back to Here, Now, Human. I’m joined by Krista Williams—co-host of Almost 30, healer, and voice guide—for a conversation about reclamation. About losing your voice and finding it again. About spirituality beyond religion, ancestral silencing, body image, and what it truly means to embody love. We explore the body as portal, words as spells, and why the life you desire lives on the other side of your voice. This is an invitation to come home to yourself so fully that partnership, purpose, and expression become a natural extension of your safety within. ✨ In this episode, we explore: Parts work and integrating fragmented aspects of self Reclaiming spirituality beyond religious conditioning God, Source, Creator — and the power of naming Words as creators of reality Losing (and reclaiming) the voice The ancestral silencing of women The womb–belly–throat connection How body image impacts vocal expression Voice as a barometer for authenticity What “speaking your truth” really means Stepping into the identity of healer Archetypes and tarot as mirrors for evolution Calling in sovereign partnership Manifestation in relationships post-divorce Embodying love as “yes, and” Trusting divine timing in your creative work This conversation is an invitation to listen differently—to your body, your breath, your voice. Where in your life are you still afraid to be heard? And what might shift if you allowed your voice to come all the way through—from womb to heart to throat? I’d love to hear what resonated most. 007. Feeling Everything

In this episode, I’m coming to you from a place of heaviness—and honesty. The last week brought a lot of grief, fear, and anger, and I noticed myself freezing in ways I hadn’t in a long time. As someone who feels deeply, the events in the world right now hit hard, and I want to share what that’s like and how I’ve been navigating it. We slow down together, tuning into the body, the breath, and the present moment. I guide a few simple practices—placing hands on the heart and belly, breathing, rocking, and gentle movement—that help the nervous system settle and create space for feeling what’s really there. I also reflect on how grief, anger, and urgency can show up in our bodies, and how tending to ourselves allows us to show up more fully for others. ✨ In this episode, we explore: Feeling and naming the freeze, grief, and anger Simple practices to ground and regulate your nervous system How caring for yourself helps you stay present for others Small, doable ways to offer kindness and connection Remembering that we are all connected, like mycelium beneath the surface This episode is an invitation to slow down, breathe, and come back to yourself—even in the middle of chaos. 006. Shape-Shifting Through Consciousness with Sahara Rose

Welcome back to Here, Now, Human. I’m joined by Sahara Rose—bestselling author, podcast host, spiritual teacher, and artist—whose work has touched millions through her teachings on dharma, embodiment, and living in alignment with your soul’s truth. But what moved me most in this conversation wasn’t any single role she holds—it was her willingness to dissolve all of them. Sahara speaks candidly about heartbreak, dark nights of the soul, creativity as medicine, and the liberation that comes from releasing identity — even the spiritual ones. From sacred sites to sound frequencies, ancestry to music, devotion to play, this conversation moves like consciousness itself: fluid, surprising, and alive. Together, we explore what it means to shape-shift through life without attachment. To honor our stories without being defined by them. To recognize that consciousness isn’t fixed—it’s something we are constantly co-creating through our energy, our choices, and the way we show up in each moment. ✨ In this episode, we explore: The many states of consciousness we move through daily How energy, tone, and presence shape every interaction Releasing attachment to identity, personality, and personal stories Why telling our story can heal—and when it can limit us Celebrating each other beyond shared struggle Creativity and music as portals for healing and remembrance Dark nights of the soul as initiations into deeper embodiment Redefining service, dharma, and what it truly means to help Choosing joy, play, and beauty as spiritual practice Trusting the unfolding—even when the path is unknown This conversation is an invitation to soften—to let go of needing to define yourself so tightly, and instead allow yourself to become curious about who you are now. I’d love to hear from you:Where in your life are you being invited to release an old identity? And what might become possible if you allowed yourself to change? 005. Releasing the Fear of Being Seen

Welcome back to Here, Now, Human. In today’s episode, we’re exploring something we all feel, often quietly and often harshly: judgment. Not just the judgment we place on others — but the judgment that keeps us small, silent, and afraid to be who we really are.For so much of my life, judgment kept me from creating. I didn’t want to be “like the coaches,” “like the influencers,” “like the podcasters.” I didn’t realize that beneath that resistance was something softer — fear, longing, and old stories I hadn’t yet met.In this conversation, we slow down enough to feel where judgment comes from, how it lives in the body, and how it softens when we get curious instead of critical. We talk about shame, discernment, and the simple but profound shift of meeting ourselves — and others — with compassion.✨ The judgments that keep us from expressing who we are✨ Seeing others as mirrors for our own desires and fears✨ The body’s wisdom in telling judgment from discernment✨ Befriending the inner “judger” instead of fighting it✨ Replacing judgment with curiosity and tendernessThis episode is an invitation to release the stories that limit you…and to return, gently, to your own heart.Connect with me:Website: www.manuelawelton.comInstagram: @manuelaweltonSubstack: @manuelawelton

    004. Allowing Growth: Ours, Theirs, and Everything In Between

Welcome back to Here, Now, Human. In today’s episode, I’m sharing a realization that has quietly transformed the way I see my relationships — and myself. For years, without even noticing it, I had been freezing people in time. Holding them in the moment they hurt me. Keeping them locked in an old version of themselves, long after they had grown… and long after I had grown, too.In this conversation, I explore what it means to release those frozen images, to meet people as they are today, and to forgive not just with the mind, but through the body — through anger, sadness, and the deep inner work that invites us back to compassion. This is a tender episode — an invitation to unburden your heart, soften your stories, and reconnect with the humanity in the people you love… and the humanity within yourself.✨ Realizing how we freeze people in moments of hurt✨ Unlearning old stories and meeting others as they are now✨ Understanding anger as a doorway to sadness, truth, and release✨ Somatic practices for moving stored emotion through the body✨ Forgiving others by first forgiving the parts of ourselves that ache✨ Creating space for reconnection — or closure — with compassionThis episode is a conversation with the versions of ourselves that stayed behind — the ones holding grudges, the ones holding grief, the ones waiting to be seen. And it’s an invitation for you to thaw what’s been frozen, and meet your life, here and now, with an open heart.Connect with me:Website: www.manuelawelton.comInstagram: @manuelaweltonSubstack: @manuelawelton

    003. Empathy, Courage & Meeting Each Other as Human with Brandon and Darrel of Tambor.AI

Welcome back to Here, Now, Human. Today’s episode is a tender one — a conversation about empathy, courage, and what becomes possible when we choose to meet each other beyond our stories. I’m joined by Brandon and Darrel, co-founders of Tambor.AI, whose work centers on understanding what people truly feel and need. But what moved me most wasn’t the technology — it was their hearts. Their willingness to sit in complexity, to listen, and to see the human being in front of them, even in places where compassion isn’t expected. Darrell M. Blocker is a board director, senior corporate director, and a former member of the Central Intelligence Agency’s Directorate of Operations Leadership Team.  He founded his firm in 2018 and currently serves as an Independent Board Director for Rendeavour, Africa's largest urban land developer, focusing on building new cities across Sub-Saharan Africa; as an Advisor to the Black Professionals in International Affairs’ Leadership Council, a nonprofit with mission to increase involvement of African-Americans and African descent in international affairs; as Board Member and Advisor to Hunter Baron, a financial services business development firm; and as a Nonresident Fellow at the University of Georgia’s Center for International Trade and Security.  He is a 2025 recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for “exemplary commitment to national security, global stability, mentorship, humanitarian work, and advocacy for diversity in national security.” Brandon is a community builder, investor, and producer. He is co-founder of The Social Good Club, an award-winning digital media studio that uses the world’s most influential voices to inspire and guide audiences in solving today’s most pressing issues. The brand reaches over 500 million people with partners and clients including UN Women, Global Citizen, Discovery Channel and more. We explore identity, conflict, perception, activism, grief, and the quiet bravery it takes to stay open in a divided world. Darrel speaks about his time in the CIA and how kindness changed encounters he never imagined. Brandon shares his experience navigating conversations about Judaism, ancestry, and belonging during an emotionally charged moment in history. Together, they remind us: Connection is still possible — even when it feels impossible. ✨ In this episode, we explore: The longing we all share to be seen and understood How story and perception shape the way we relate The courage of softening instead of defending Meeting people beyond the assumptions we carry Small practices that build trust and presence How empathy can shift conversations we fear having Finding common ground in places of deep difference This conversation is an invitation to look again — gently. To remember that behind every belief, every wound, every barrier, there is a human being wanting to be met. I’d love to hear from you: Where are you learning to listen more deeply? 002. The Fear of Death as Death Itself — Letting Go, Letting Life In

Welcome back to Here, Now, Human. In today’s episode, I’m exploring something tender, universal, and often unspoken: the fear of death — not just physical death, but the countless metaphorical deaths that shape who we become.Over the last few months, I’ve been moving through a deep internal death of my own. One that felt physical, visceral, and profoundly confronting. It showed me how much the fear of dying — or the fear of losing control, identity, relationships, or old versions of myself — had been keeping me from fully living. This conversation is an invitation into that journey.I share about survival patterns passed down through ancestry, the grief of losing my parents young, the cycles of birth and death that live inside the body, and the ways we resist the expansion we’re actually longing for.We also explore how grief moves in waves, how control masquerades as safety, and why meeting ourselves with presence is one of the most healing practices available to us.More than anything, this episode asks a simple but transformative question:Where are you afraid to die — and how is that fear keeping you from living?✨ In this episode, we explore:The fear of physical and metaphorical deathHow ancestral survival patterns shape the way we live todayMy personal experience of “dying and being born” within the bodyLoops, patterns, and the fear of stepping into the unknownGrief as a cyclical, wave-like teacherControl as a form of safety — and what happens when we let goCrossing from maiden to mother, and the deaths that come with life’s transitionsIntegration, presence, and the medicine of slowing downWhat it means to shed old identities in a year of completionHow to gently expand into the fullest expression of who you’re here to beThis episode is an offering, a contemplation, and a reminder that even in times of collective grief and personal transformation, presence heals, and death — in all its forms — can be the doorway to deeper freedom.I’d love to hear from you:What are you shedding?Where are you showing up more fully? And what small step can you take toward the life you’re ready to live?Connect with me:Website: www.manuelawelton.comInstagram: @manuelaweltonSubstack: @manuelawelton

    001. Here, Now, Human — My Origin Story

Welcome to the very first episode of Here, Now, Human. I’m your host, Manuela Welton, and in this debut episode, I’m sharing something deeply personal — my own origin story. I was born in Colombia, in a family of artists and dreamers, and from an early age, my world was painted with creativity, courage, and love. But that world shifted quickly — political unrest, displacement, and profound loss shaped much of my early life. In this episode, I share how those experiences — both beautiful and painful — became the foundation of my work today. This story is the beginning of why Here, Now, Human exists: to remind us of our shared humanity, the resilience of the heart, and the healing power of storytelling. ✨ Growing up surrounded by art, activism, and creativity ✨ Fleeing Colombia and learning to find belonging in new places ✨ Experiencing loss and grief — and the awakening of intuition ✨ Rediscovering purpose and the strength to live fully again This episode is a conversation with my younger self — and an invitation for you to meet me, here, now, as human as I am.
