I’m a follower of Jesus who’s passionate about living with purpose, growing through every season, and creating a life that reflects the calling God has placed on me. I love all things faith, fitness, meaningful conversations, good food, and helping people grow in confidence and purpose.
Through Rooted & Radiant, you’ll find honest and unfiltered conversations about faith, relationships, healing, personal growth, mental health, and navigating real life with God at the center. My prayer is that every episode leaves you feeling encouraged, challenged, seen, and reminded that you’re not walking through life alone. ✨
Some of the hardest battles we fight are the ones nobody else can see.
In the first episode of October’s The Battle You Can’t See series, we’re talking about what it looks like to recognize the battles happening beneath the surface without labeling every hard moment as spiritual warfare.
How do you know what you’re actually fighting? What happens when fear, discouragement, distraction, isolation, or old patterns start getting louder? And what if the answer isn’t always to fight harder, but to pause long enough to ask God for discernment?
In this episode, we’re getting practical about praying before reacting, taking our thoughts captive, leaning into community, putting on the armor of God, and recognizing when God may be asking us to take responsibility and walk in obedience.
Before you leave, I’m giving you a simple 24-hour Rooted & Radiant challenge to help you identify what you’re fighting, what you’ve been believing, and what God says is true.
The goal isn’t to become more aware of the enemy. It’s to become more anchored in Jesus. 🤎

Letting Go Of " Old You " For Good With Hailey Sykes
What if becoming the person you’re called to be requires you to finally let go of the person you’ve been?
We’re closing out our September series on discipline, habits, and building a life with a conversation about one of the hardest parts of growth: recognizing when old habits, mindsets, environments, and versions of ourselves can no longer come with us.
This week, Ashley is joined by returning Rooted & Radiant guest Hailey Sykes, a strength coach, business owner, and mom who helps women build strength that lasts, physically and mentally. With a background in exercise science and years of experience working with women through different seasons of life, Hailey brings both expertise and real-life perspective to what sustainable transformation actually requires.
Together, Ashley and Hailey unpack the tension between wanting change and choosing the habits required to create it. They talk about physical and spiritual discipline, identity, accountability, giving yourself grace without giving yourself excuses, and knowing when something that once served you is now keeping you attached to an old version of yourself.
They also wrestle with an important question for people of faith: Can we become so focused on becoming the “best version” of ourselves that we forget the ultimate goal is becoming more like Christ?
Because transformation isn’t just about adding better habits.
Sometimes growth requires releasing what no longer belongs. 🤎

Ask yourself:
What is one thing the person God is calling me to become can no longer afford to carry?
Maybe it’s a habit.A mindset.A relationship.An environment.An excuse.Or simply an old way of seeing yourself.
Name it. Be honest about why you’re still holding onto it. Then choose one practical step you can take toward releasing it.
You don’t have to become someone new overnight. But you can stop returning to the things keeping you attached to who you used to be.

The Power of Daily Obedience with Cherie Craney
What happens when you know what God is asking you to do, but saying yes feels uncomfortable, inconvenient, or doesn’t make sense yet?
This week on Rooted & Radiant, we’re continuing our September series on discipline, habits, and building a life with a conversation about The Power of Daily Obedience.
I'm joined by Cherie Craney, wife, mom of two, and Christian children’s book author, for an honest conversation about what obedience to God looks like in everyday life.
Together, they unpack what it means to recognize God’s direction, say yes before you feel ready, and remain faithful when obedience doesn’t immediately produce the outcome you expected. They also get into the harder questions: What happens when obedience costs you something? How do you know the difference between waiting on God and God waiting on you? And what happens when you know you delayed your yes?
Because obedience isn’t only found in the big, life-changing decisions. Sometimes it’s found in the small, quiet yeses nobody else sees. 🤎
Ask yourself:
What has God already been asking me to do that I keep delaying, negotiating with, or waiting to feel ready for?
Name it. Identify what’s making you hesitate. Decide what your yes looks like. Then take one practical step within the next 24 hours.
You don’t need to see the next ten steps to be faithful with the one God has placed in front of you.
