HTT 68: Aging & Health, Why science has it ALL wrong

We know that when we age, our health declines. Or so it seems.. But I'd like to argue an interesting point. Maybe almost all of the data we have on people that have aged is on people who have aged-inactively, or aged-sedentarily? Maybe we get "old" based on having data of "old" people who weren't health-conscience, who didn't do cardiovascular work and resistance training for decades.

I believe that while the Human Animal likely has a biological cap on age, I fully believe we can live with vitality, longevity, and a whole lot of life all the way into our late 90's and beyond.

But there's another, less talked about reason that consistency isn't only important but undeniably necessary, when achieving anything in your life. This week we'll explore the hidden side of consistency and the impact in relation to your psyche.

Find all of my links to all socials, website, AND SO MUCH MORE! : https://linktr.ee/B3FIT

Questions or comments on the show?

Email me @ b3lifestyle@gmail.com

HTT 66: Why you need to resistance train in your 40s,50s,60s & Beyond

The older we get, the more imperative it is that we put the body under stress, or resistance, which seems counterintuitive right? In this episode we walk through 4 studies highlighting the importance on muscle mass and muscle strength in relation to its effects on healthspan, lifespan, and all-cause mortality.

Here's links to all 4 studies walked through by me, along with the links to the studies themselves:

https://b3fit.blog/2023/05/06/muscle-mass-muscle-strength-lifespan/

https://b3fit.blog/2023/05/06/skeletal-muscle-mass-sarcopenia-metabolic-disease-association/

https://b3fit.blog/2023/05/06/muscle-mass-cardiovascular-disease-association/

https://b3fit.blog/2023/05/06/muscle-lifespan-aging/

Find all of my links to all socials, website, AND SO MUCH MORE! : https://linktr.ee/B3FIT

Questions or comments on the show?

Email me @ b3lifestyle@gmail.com
