De drie finalisten van de Brabant40 Award vertellen hoe die support hen heeft geholpen om door te stoten naar de volgende fase van hun bestaan. 'Ik moest ineens 50 potentiële klanten bellen', zo vertelt één van hen.</p>

Ruim de helft van alle patentaanvragen in ons land komt inmiddels uit deze provincie.</p><p> </p><p>Toch biedt dat succes gaan garantie op een zorgeloze toekomst. In deze 4e aflevering draait het allemaal om de uitdagingen waar ze in Brabant mee moeten dealen. Zo is het voor veel innovatieve bedrijven steeds lastiger geworden om goede mensen te vinden. Ook het investeringsklimaat is volgens betrokkenen reden tot zorg. John van Schagen spreekt hierover onder meer met Constantijn van Oranje, de voorman van Techleap. </p>

<p>Salvia BioElectronics werkt aan een technologie die het leven van mensen met migraine aanzienlijk verbetert. Het is één van de circa 300 bedrijven op de High Tech Campus in Eindhoven.</p><p> </p><p>John van Schagen gaat in deze 3e aflevering in gesprek met co-founder Hubert Martens. Die legt uit waarom de ontwikkeling van zijn product op deze locatie een stuk sneller gaat. Dit heeft onder meer te maken met de nabijheid van kennis, beschikbare faciliteiten zoals cleanrooms en een actieve regionale ontwikkelingsmaatschappij die al in een vroegtijdig stadium bereid bleek om zijn bedrijf te funden. 'We waren toen nog niet veel meer dan een idee in een PowerPoint.' </p>
