De kerk is creatiever geworden

<p>Elizabeth Witteveen uit Zeewolde maakt zich grote zorgen over de financiële gevolgen van kabinetsplannen voor chronisch zieken en mensen met een beperking. De Zeewoldense heeft een progressieve spierziekte, een darmziekte en een longziekte. “Als al die plannen doorgaan, gaan we er 300 à 400 euro per maand op achteruit. Dan komen we in de schulden", zegt ze in Het Gesprek.</p>

Stichting Veerkracht helpt jongeren die vastlopen: ‘Je hoeft je niet te schamen’
<p>Jongeren die vastlopen in het leven kunnen op Urk terecht bij Stichting Veerkracht. De stichting is opgericht door Joost Valk, Auke van Slooten en Pieter ten Napel en richt zich onder meer op jongeren met verslavingsproblemen, psychische problemen of zingevingsvragen. Volgens de oprichters is vooral de laagdrempeligheid belangrijk: jongeren kunnen aankloppen zonder dat er meteen een zwaar zorgtraject tegenover staat.</p> <p>Veerkracht werkt met begeleiding, coaching en een netwerk van zo’n 35 tot 40 vrijwilligers. Een deel van hen is ervaringsdeskundig. “Als iemand ook maar een stukje hulp nodig heeft, op wat voor gebied dan ook, dan kunnen ze bij ons terecht”, zegt Valk in het programma Het Gesprek van Omroep Flevoland.</p>
