שאנו שומעים את המילה "אסלאם" מטבע הדברים והאירועים, קופצים לנו לראש מושגים כמו האסלאם הסוני, השיעי, ג'יהאד, קוראן ועוד.<br /><br />אבל, למען האמת, במבט היסטורי, אנו עושים בכך עוול מסוים להיסטוריה של דת האסלאם. האם לאורך השנים והדורות, כמעט כמו כל דת, האסלאם השתנה, התפתח ואולי היו בו דעות ותפיסות שונות מהזרם המרכזי והלוחמני המוכר לנו כיום? מהי הסופיות? האם מדובר בתפיסת עולם? או זרם דתי? ואולי השאלה המפתיעה ביותר - האם ייתכן שלסופיות המוסלמית יש קשר ליהדות?<br />והאם, לאורך ההיסטוריה, היו יהודים שאימצו תפיסות סופיות שנכנסו אל לב ספרות הקודש היהודית?<br /><br />על כל זאת ועוד, שוחחנו עם פרופ' אבי אלקיים, המחלקה לפילוסופיה יהודית באונ' בר אילן, ממקימי דרך אברהם.
