In the second episode of Learning to Live, we turn to one of the most fundamental questions of the Christian life: Can I trust God?Trust does not grow simply because we tell ourselves to believe harder. It grows as our understanding of God is renewed—as we learn who He is, see His character more clearly, and discover that He is worthy of our confidence.
In this study, we explore what it means to have our minds renewed, how our experiences and assumptions can distort the way we perceive God, and why God must be allowed to define Himself. We consider what Scripture reveals about His character, how Christ reveals the Father, and how knowing God begins to transform not only what we believe, but what we desire.
Learning to trust begins with knowing the One we are being asked to trust.

In the first episode of Learning to Live, we begin at the foundation of the Christian life: Christ alone.It is easy to reduce Christianity to becoming better, trying harder, avoiding sin, or maintaining the disciplines we believe a faithful Christian should practice. But the gospel begins somewhere far more radical—with the recognition that we cannot be our own source of life.We are not merely people who need improvement. Apart from Christ, we are spiritually bankrupt. And that is precisely why the gospel is such extraordinarily good news.In this study, we explore what it means to come to the end of self-reliance and recognize our complete dependence upon Jesus—not only for salvation, but for the entirety of the Christian life.
