Derrick schrijft al meer dan 25 jaar over cannabis voor binnen- en buitenlandse media en is voorzitter van de stichting VOC (Verbond voor Opheffing van het Cannabisverbod). Rens is medeoprichter van The HomeGrown Cup en werkte o.a. als budtender bij een van de beste coffeeshops van Nederland en als marktmeester van Cannabis Bevrijdingsdag. Elke twee weken komt er een nieuwe aflevering van de High Tea Potcast online, met het belangrijkste nationale en internationale cannabis nieuws, bijzondere gasten en vaste rubrieken als ‘Wat zit er in je joint vandaag?’ en ‘De Ouwe Doos’. Over onze jeugd, onze kennismaking met de plant, hoe we in de cannabiswereld zijn beland, onze toekomstplannen… En we bespreken het belangrijkste cannabis nieuws, o.a. uit Groningen, Den Haag, Alkmaar, Bilbao, Wenen, Berlijn en Washington. In De Ouwe Doos zit een honderd jaar oud bericht uit het Nieuwsblad van het Noorden, over hennepdraden die door hun bewerking huilen. In het kweekhoekje geven we zeven tips voor de buitenteelt. Onze gast is één van de eerste cannabisactivisten van Nederland en een levende legende. Theo Buissink organiseert al sinds de jaren zeventig ludieke acties voor legalisering, met clubs als het ‘Komitee wij roken hasjiesj nou en?’ en de ‘Stuf Vrij Partij’. Hij is medeoprichter van De Vliegende Hollander, de oudste coffeeshop van Groningen en growshop De Tevreden Rookster. In deze XXL-aflevering vertelt Theo over zijn acties en avonturen, de eerste landelijke wiet-demonstratie in 1975, de vele cannabis-loterijen die hij organiseerde en de pijnlijke breuk met zijn ex-compagnon bij De Vliegende Hollander. In de nieuwsrubriek bespreken we o.a. de rechtszaak van Johan van Laarhoven tegen de staat, de dreigende pin-problemen voor coffeeshops, het PCN Cannabis Congres 2025, de overname van CanAdelaar en het cannabisdecreet van Donald Trump. Het Kweekhoekje gaat over De Gouden Gieter en in De Ouwe Doos zit een brief van Theo aan toenmalig koningin Juliana.
