I recently listened to an episode that falsely portrayed GOP women in power at the White House, minimizing their influence while simultaneously preaching empowerment from a liberal, Democratic-leaning perspective. The hypocrisy was loud — and it sparked a much bigger conversation for me around fake news, selective outrage, and who actually gets to define “women in power.” But this episode doesn’t stop at politics. It segues into a much more personal message — for women, especially those feeling overwhelmed, behind, or pressured to “fix everything” at the start of a new year. Instead of focusing on New Year’s resolutions, quick fixes, or one-month transformations, I encourage you to: Give yourself extra grace and love yourself right where you are Release the pressure to reinvent yourself overnight Shift your focus to end-of-year goals, not January perfection Build a realistic, long-term plan that honors growth over time Progress doesn’t happen in 30 days.
