Efter en succesrig periode som træner i Lyngby rykker Hjulmand over til lokalrivalerne fra FC Nordsjælland, hvor han opnår topresultater. I jagten på nye udfordringer rykker han videre til det store udland, men uanset hvor Kasper sætter sig i trænersædet, bliver der sat spørgsmålstegn ved, om han nogensinde vil kunne klare sig mod de største modstandere, hvis han holder fast i sin stil. Efter en skadespræget karriere som fodboldspiller i klubben Randers Freja skifter Kasper Hjulmand for en stund fodboldstøvlerne ud med højskolesangbogen, da han starter på den Jyske Idrætshøjskole.
