<p dir="rtl">בשנת 85' שלמה ארצי כבר ביסס את עצמו כאמן פעיל ומופיע. הוא התרגל לרעיון לפיו כל כמה שנים עליו להוציא אלבום והפעם הוא התכונן במודע או שלא במודע לעליית מדרגה בקריירה.<br>לעבודה על האלבום גויס שוב המפיק לואי להב שהגיע לארץ במיוחד מארה"ב ויחד עם רביב גזית המעבד הסתגרו שלושת הכוחות היצירתיים הללו בבית על גבעה, סמוך לחוף שבקיבוץ פלמ"חים.<br>ההפקה הייתה מוקפדת והטקסטים שונו עד הרגע האחרון. חברת התקליטים נתבקשה הפעם להשאר מחוץ לעניינים.<br>שנה מאוחר יותר, שלמה ארצי יצא מצוותא אל פארק הירקון והשאר - היסטוריה.</p>

<p>בשנת 83׳ האלבום ״תרקוד״ כבר היה מוכן. אבל שלמה ארצי לא הרגיש שהוא יכול להוציא אותו כפי שהוא. אז הוא חיפש מפיק מוזיקלי שיעזור לו לפצח את האלבום. ממשה לוי הוא כבר נפרד, עם אילן וירצברג הוא לא ממש הסתדר ולבד מול הלהקה הוא הרגיש שאין לו כלים. ואז, לילה אחד, נכנס עם חליפה וסיגר לואי להב.</p>
