Three SHARPs talking about punk rock, skinhead shit, working class politics and what is actually means to live an anti racist, anti fascist life without compromise. From Oi!, hardcore, ska, streetpunk and hiphop to organizing, scene history and calling out the bullshit that rots subcultures from the inside out - this is Hold Your Ground.
Episodes will feature conversations with anti fascist bands, artists, organizers and long time anti fascist/anti racists who've kept the spirit of unity, resistance and street level solidarity alive. No fence-sitting liberal posturing, no fascist apologia or platforming, no nostalgia for racist garbage disguised as "tradition".
Just music, politics, culture and two skinheads holding the line.
Working class mindset, without all the bullshit!

Jenny Woo-The Woman The Scene Doesn't See
On this episode of Hold Your Ground, we talk with Jenny Woo about her experiences in the punk rock and skinhead subculture. Jenny has spent 2 decades carving out her own place in a scene that has been quick to criticize, judge and tear down women that refuse to fit neatly into the boxes people have created for them. Whether it's her music, her politics, her appearance, or the fact that she chooses to do things her own way, Jenny has caught an enormous amount of hate. Unsolicited and completely unwarranted.
This episode isn't about defending Jenny from the nonsense spit her way though, it's about giving her the space to talk about what it's actually like to be a woman in the scene, what misogyny looks like from the receiving end and what it takes to keep standing when people seem determined to tell you that you don't belong.
We talk about the good, the bad and the parts of her story that often get lost when people decide who someone is without getting to know them or hearing them out.
Skinhead is about being your own person and standing on you convictions regardless of what people think. After an amazing conversation with the woman so many love to hate, we will whole heartedly say that not only is Jenny an amazing person who wants to give back to the scene, she is the epitome of Skinhead.

We'd Rather Stay Broke Than Sell Out
On this episode of Hold Your Ground, it's just us behind the mic's, talking about what happens when we get an offer from a major sponsor who wants to put conditions on our voice. Stop cussing. Drop a member. Clean things up for the check..
Our answer? No deal! Punk rock ain't for sale.
The world, especially when you get into blue collar spaces, can be a gruff place. We're not for everybody and we were never meant to be. We may be rough around the edges, but our praxis and our message is solid. If you want to discredit that for foul language, keep it moving. We are accessible to the working class, because we are the working class and quite frankly, we don't need high society wanna-bes on a slumming tour trying to change that.
