Ryan Wiksell: Book: https://amzn.to/4xvNUlY #Ad Web: www.ourfatherabraham.com Philipp's Books: https://amzn.to/4viKBg1 #Ad In this episode of Holistic Circle, Philipp Kobald sits down with Rev. Ryan Wiksell, Episcopal priest and co-author of The Last Seder of James, to explore Christianity's Jewish roots, religious certainty, community, and what happens when you begin questioning the faith you inherited. Ryan's journey moved from a Pentecostal childhood and the Messianic Jewish movement to music ministry, a volunteer coffeehouse church plant, seminary, and ordination as an Episcopal priest in 2021. His book reimagines James's final night as a Passover Seder in a Jerusalem prison in 62 CE, blending historical fiction with commentary on Jewish foundations of Christian worship. Ryan's journey took him from a Pentecostal childhood in Oklahoma and the Messianic Jewish movement to music ministry, an independent coffeehouse church in Missouri, seminary in Virginia, and ordination as an Episcopal priest in 2021. His book, The Last Seder of James, reimagines the final night of James, the brother of Jesus, as a Passover Seder in a Jerusalem prison in 62 CE combining historical fiction with commentary on the Jewish foundations of Christian worship. We discuss: Why certainty can become religious dependency and control. The Jewish Passover roots of the Last Supper and Communion. Paul's olive tree metaphor and Christianity's relationship to Judaism. Replacement theology and the danger of religious superiority. Scripture read through the experience of people living under empire. The importance of forgiveness, community, and shared spiritual experience. What Ryan learned building a volunteer-run coffeehouse church. Why community may be the one thing a church truly owns. Why returning to Christianity's origins can reveal something larger than institutions. Main takeaways Certainty is not always the same as truth; the freedom to ask hard questions can outweigh predetermined answers. Communion carries deep Jewish Passover symbolism; knowing its origins adds depth rather than diminishes meaning. Paul's olive tree calls for humility: Christianity is grafted into an existing Jewish story, not a replacement. Community is the most irreplaceable asset a church owns—the people who actually show up. Quotes "I really do think certainty is a drug." — Rev. Ryan Wiksell "If a strong radical, almost fanatic agnostic like me is podcasting his soul out for Christianity, the world has gone utterly mad." — Philipp Kobald ABOUT OUR GUEST Rev. Spiritual Conversation In tune with your soul what does it actually mean? With Dr. Asia and Host Philipp Kobald

🌐 Link to our Guest and Books: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.Book: Frequency of the Divine https://amzn.to/4tK9znO # AdWeb: https://soundhealer.life/ Philipp’s Book:As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.🌐Spiritual Parenting: https://amzn.to/4e0Xx5e # Ad Frequency Follies: How to Tune Your Soul Without Short-Circuiting Your Sanity Because Spiritual Enlightenment Shouldn’t Require a Safety Helmet Based on a podcast conversation between guest Dr. Asia - The Soulful Creatrix and host Philipp Kobald. This episode dives into the tricky terrain of spiritual frequencies—how tuning into the right vibration can elevate your soul or send you spiraling into chaos. They unpack the science and spirit of frequencies, the crucial role of grounding, and the pitfalls of chasing higher states without preparation. From billionaire money mantras to the reality behind “dark magic,” expect an honest roadmap for anyone navigating the spiritual fast lane. What we discuss • The analogy of the soul as a radio needing precise tuning to avoid spiritual static and psychosis • Why grounding and opening the heart chakra are essential before ascending to higher frequencies • The spiritual irony of wealthy seekers chasing angelic vibrations to manifest money without alignment • The neutral nature of frequencies and the human framing that labels some as “dark magic” • The importance of slow, deliberate spiritual work that improves your life and relationships, not isolates you Main Takeaways Patience and grounding: Spiritual work requires patience and grounding; rushing to “higher frequencies” can be harmful. True alignment: Real alignment means coherence between what you think, feel, and produce, beyond moral judgments. Dark magic reframed: Dark magic is less about demons and more about selfish manipulation and lack of responsibility. Give back: The universe favors those who give back, not just take; spiritual growth demands honesty and discomfort. Listen to nature: Nature and collective consciousness respond subtly to human conditions, urging us to slow down and tune in. Quotes “People want the good parts. They want the, ‘Hey, now I’m a nice person,’ but they don’t want the path that you go through, and there’s always a breaking, right?” — Dr. Asia - The Soulful Creatrix “If you don’t walk there on your own feet, what is it worth? You can’t just get there as a passenger.” — Philipp Kobald About our Guest Dr. Asia Taylor, known as The Soulful Creatrix, specializes in vibration and frequency work, guiding clients toward spiritual alignment and coherence in a chaotic world. Are Plants Trying to Tell Us Something? The Unlikely Science of Listening to Flowers : Tammy Wood

🌐 Link to our Guest and Books: Web : Appalachia Feel Good appalachiafeelgood.com Philipp’s Book:As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.🌐Spiritual Parenting: https://amzn.to/4pnBwRL # Ad #tammywood, #healingherbs, #floweressences, #naturalmedicine, #herbalismIn this episode of Holistic Circle, Philipp Kobald speaks with Tammy Wood, a yoga instructor and herbalist, about the core themes, discoveries, and questions explored in this conversation and why they still matter in a world drowning in information. Is it possible that plants have a language we can understand if we only learn to listen? How can ancient wisdom and modern skepticism coexist in the realm of natural medicine? What does restoring a pesticide-poisoned farm reveal about healing the earth and ourselves? Tammy shares her journey as an herbalist and yoga teacher who listens to flowers to understand their healing powers, revives a 300-year-old family farm, and leads herbal excursions that reconnect people with nature’s subtle medicine. Philipp and Tammy explore how nature’s messages may not be as random as they seem, diving into ancient wisdom, vibrational healing, and modern skepticism. What we discuss The practice of flower essence creation and the energetic connection to plants. The debate between chemical compounds and vibrational healing in natural medicine. Tammy’s mission to restore a historic farm and promote sustainable hemp cultivation. Yoga practices focused on energy clearing and grounding, including farm yoga with rescued animals. The radical healing power of simply “doing nothing” and connecting with the earth. Main Takeaways Healing with plants is both chemical and vibrational, requiring presence and intuition beyond scientific trial and error. Sometimes the greatest medicine is rest, connection, and listening to what nature wants to tell us. Nature’s cycles and the prevalence of certain plants may reflect collective human needs and messages. Community, laughter, and shared stewardship are essential for healing land and spirit alike. Yoga and movement serve as grounding practices that clear energy and calm the nervous system, and simple embodied practices can open people to subtle medicine. Quotes "Everything is created in its divinity, and that it’s already got that structure in it, just like our DNA, and that it’s a blueprint that’s in flowers and plants and, you know, in us." — Tammy Wood "If we learn to listen, learn a little bit shaking it loose, that there is a path. All we have to do is just, you know, listen." — Philipp Kobald About our Guest Tammy Wood is a yoga instructor, herbalist, and creator of Wood Botanicals Flower Essences, dedicated to reconnecting people with Appalachian plants and restoring her family’s historic farm. She offers herbal excursions for foraging, remedy making, and flower essence creation and teaches yoga practices that center grounding and energy clearing.
