His television work includes appearances in projects such as NYPD Blue, Doing Time on Maple Drive, and numerous TV movies and independent films. Beyond acting, McNamara is known for his dedication to animal rescue and animal rights activism. He is known for his sobriety, his time away from Hollywood, and his work rescuing animals during the Los Angeles wildfires. His latest project is The Trouble with Billy.
