The Best Rock and Roll Movie of All time.

This week on The Hollywood Video Guys Podcast, join Mike, Don, and Randy as they plug in the VCR and rewind to the greatest rock and roll movies of all time! Get ready for a triple feature of cinematic chaos, backstage shenanigans, and enough denim and leather to outfit a small army. First up, we’re strapping in with the legendary mockumentary, This Is Spinal Tap. The guys are turning the amps up to 11 to discuss the film that taught us all the dangers of miniature Stonehenge, mismatched bass players, and the elusive "Jazz Odyssey." We'll see if it holds up as the funniest rock satire ever made. Next, we're catching a ride on the bus with Cameron Crowe's classic, Almost Famous. Get your backstage pass ready as we dive into the heartwarming and hilarious story of a young writer's journey with a band on the verge of superstardom. We'll explore the film's iconic characters, timeless soundtrack, and the bittersweet truth of finding your place in the world. It’s a love letter to music and the one film that makes you want to spontaneously join a rock tour. Finally, we're lighting a fire and getting philosophical with Oliver Stone's controversial epic, The Doors. Mike, Don, and Randy will debate Val Kilmer's spooky-good performance, the film's psychedelic excesses, and whether it’s a brilliant masterpiece or just an excuse for a really long montage of Jim Morrison staring intensely at things. So grab your ripped jeans and a bag of popcorn (we prefer the buttered kind, you know, for the grease), and get ready for a heavy dose of movie memories. It's The Hollywood Video Guys Podcast—where the only thing we love more than movies is arguing about them.
