How to Find a Mentor & What Real Mentorship Looks Like with Tonya Edwards

If you're seeking a mentor, would love someone to pour into you, or are praying for someone wise to show up and counsel you...but don't know what that looks like, this episode is going to BLESS you. "Why I Got Baptized Again"- Reclaiming A Relationship with God Thru Anger, Rebellion and His Faithfulness: A Dialogue with Logan Huff

*Trigger Warning: The topic of suicide is a part of this story. It's spoken about through a lens of heartbreak, devestation, and walking through it as a loved one whose lost someone they love. Details about the event are not divulged.* If you've been feeling lukewarm in your faith, had hard things happen that have you question God or are considering getting baptized (including if you were baptized already as a child), this heartfelt conversation is going to stir someone's spirit. While Logan Huff - my dear friend and sister - grew up in church, she describes how her whimsical faith began to change when the hardships of the world began to add up. After years of distancing from God, Logan shares the event that sparked understandably immense anger with God. It was one of the most devestating, awful, darkest things that can happen with a loved one. In the aftermath, her world flipped upside down and found herself isolating. It was from and ultimately through that anger that God drew her back to a relationship with Him. What God began to do after in Logan's testimony is so powerful. The episode delves into the: *The importance and power of community, whether you have trouble opening up now or are praying for friends in Jesus - what is possible *The significance of baptism, including if you were baptized as a child and are considering doing so again as an adult *Very tangible, real examples of resilience that faith brings, both in moments of joy and in trial. In this sincere discussion about living out one's faith authentically, including with and not shying away from addressing some of life's hardest events and devestations, you'll hear: *Logan's Running Journey and Faith *Struggles, from College Years to Hard Events, and Rediscovery of Faith *The Decision to Get Rebaptized *Coffee Shop Conversations and Spiritual Growth *Finding Faith in the Church *Deciding to Get Baptized *The Baptism Experience *The Raw Realness of Spiritual Warfare after Baptism, Why to Not Be Overcome by Fear of That and Resilience *The Power and Possibilities of Christian Community *Final Thoughts and Encouragement 🎧 Subscribe & Share If this podcast spoke to you, share it with a friend and leave a review to help more listeners discover the healing power of Holy F! the podcast. What if you're not behind—what if you're right where God has placed you, on a path towards His vision, simply based on each obedient yes? Raised by her grandmother, Tiffany grew up not feeling chosen. So she did what so many of us do, Tiffany strove to be perfect. The Good girl. To do nothing wrong. She focused on safety and security. Get a secure corporate job. Climb that ladder. Stay. Safe. Be. Loved. God had a very different, mind-blowing vision in mind for Tiffany's life. Single, Christian, and in Your 30s: The Silent Aches No One Talks About

Last year, I wrote an article about the pain of reaching age 32 as a Christian and still being unmarried. Because with all my heart I looked to trust the Lord, to love Jesus, and...slapping verses on my emotions didn't mean I felt constant, hopeful joy in many of the realities and confusions I faced. I did not and will not sugar coat how I felt before meeting my now husband. I was jaw-dropped at the number of messages and DMs I received from that article. It showed something. The loneliness and unique pain of being a single Christian over age 30 is a big deal, and there are silent pains and isolations I felt called to bring into the light. In this episode, you'll sit with me as I share things I really haven't heard talked about anywhere else. *Buying a home single...and how devastating that was *Examples of conversations and sentences that can be so hurtful as a single Christian in your 30s...that feel impossible to admit *Some of the things I witnessed in ministry that weren't wrong and are beautiful, but felt like a proverbial knife again and again *The exhaustion from doing so much of life and decisions alone - for so long *The struggle and question around advice that only focuses on the words "Trust God" - without the other pieces involved Someone today is going to feel witnessed. Someone is going to feel seen. The heartbeat of this episode is you know you're NOT alone. That you are SEEN. Our stories may not match exactly, but the pain of our unique shared experience I sense will still connect us. I pray this episode sheds a light to address some of these shackles. 00:00 Introduction and Episode Overview 00:54 The Unique Pain of Singleness in Your Thirties 01:24 Addressing the Validity of Singlehood Emotions 06:39 The Impact of Church Leadership on Singlehood Perception 18:22 Personal Struggles and God's Guidance 23:18 The Challenges of Managing Life Solo 26:35 Empathy and Understanding for Singlehood 45:44 Hope and Encouragement for the Future 🎧 Subscribe & Share If this podcast spoke to you, share it with a friend and leave a review to help more listeners discover the healing power of Holy F! the podcast. "I was so focused on being the good girl...I didn't think things like this could happen to girls like me." Meet Ashlyn, whose voice is a sweet Alabama balm. And whose story is going to change someone's life. Ashlyn Carter—incredible wife, mom of 3, entrepreneur, and artist - shares her raw, redemptive conversation about healing from an eating disorder, the cost of perfectionism, and the lies the enemy tries to twist about things we normalize. Her and I? We had no idea we had Eating Disorders that were ravaging our lives. Ashlyn suffered from years of hidden struggles with disordered eating, not believing she had one even when brought into partial-hospitalization. She shares the full-circle moment of finally seeking help, the surprising way God showed up, and how Scripture and support carried her through one of the darkest times of her life. We relate and converse on real life details that many people have never heard before relayed regarding eating disorders. Ashlyn's story and wisdom will meet you right where you are—whether you're in the middle of your own struggle or learning to share your testimony boldly and bravely. 💬 In this episode, we talk about: The quiet grip of eating disorders and why they don't always look how we expect What Ashlyn learned about herself and about God through the healing process, including the partial hospitalization where she did NOT want to be Why Ashlyn's parents, due to the severity of her Eating Disorder, thought she might need to call of her wedding the night before The tools that helped Ashlyn recover (in addition to scripture and God, very specific, tangible tools The importance of sharing your story after the wound is covered Why our testimonies matter—like the specific line Allison heard God speak in the morning before this interview: Matthew 26 🕊️ This episode is a reminder that God doesn't waste a single thing. No matter what you've been through or are navigating, your journey is NOT in vain. A quote that most stands out to me from this episode? "When anyone asks what I am most proud of, that's it. Not because of anything I did but because I survived that season." 📖 Scriptures Mentioned: Matthew 26:13 – "...what she has done will also be told in memory of her." Romans 8:28 – "In all things, God works for the good of those who love Him..." ❤️🩹 Mental Health Resources: If you or someone you love is struggling with an eating disorder or perfectionism, know that you're not alone. If you've been feeling stuck, lost, or like the doors you keep knocking on just won't open—this episode is for you. Self Help and Manifesting Led to My Darkest Depression. Then, I Found Jesus with Sarah De La Coeur

6 years ago, Sarah was searching for joy and hope. She became obsessed with self-improvement and finding herself in a spiritual awakening. Wanting to be a force for good in this world, she focused on manifesting her dream life, spending thousands and thousands of dollars on practitioners to get "well". In the process of manifestation and self help, Sarah found herself sinking deeper and deeper into depression and (TRIGGER WARNING) with thoughts of ending her own life from negative, demonic voices. Something wasn't working. Sarah only felt more empty, anxious, and increasingly tormented. Then, everything changed when she encountered Jesus. From a Direct Message sent through Instagram to a complete 180 transformation, Sarah recounts the peace, freedom, and joy she found the moment she asked Jesus into her heart. Maybe you've felt confusion about spirituality vs. Christianity or become skeptical about Jesus after a real, hurtful experience from church. Maybe you (like me and my guest) sought wellness and tried to manifest your dream life...only to still feel unwell. This is a raw conversation rooted in such experiences. Whether you're a believer, a skeptic, or somewhere in between, you are so loved and held here. This episode dives into: The devesatation of spirituality practices that sound good and led Sarah to more depression and unwellness What "spiritual awakening" led to in Sarah's life The turning point that brought Sarah to Jesus and messaging Allison (Ally) on Instagram The radical peace that replaced years of inner torment and demonic attack and what has happened in Sarah's life since Sarah's testimony is a powerful reminder that Jesus does miraculous work to rescue, heal, and restore. If you've been searching for hope and to finally feel renewed, this conversation may provide deep healing relief, a kind of which I once searched for myself and pray is such a newfound open door today. 🎧 Subscribe & Share If this story moved you, share it with a friend and leave a review to help more listeners discover the healing power of Holy F! the podcast. I Was Anti-Pink. At 28, I Began to Heal

In this raw episode, get out your feminine suitcases. I'm about to unpack my personal journey of once rejecting all things pink—breaking down my associations of the color with weakness, danger, and societal expectations of femininity—and how my aversion was rooted in deeper emotional wounds and trauma, things that were NOT of God or what He says in His Word. Why this topic? I shared a short, 7 second clip on Instagram and was overcome by the emotional weight so many other women felt about: The color pink. From years of only wearing black and hiding behind a tough exterior to rediscovering whole joy, softness, and healing (in a thrifted hot pink dress!), this story is about reclaiming parts of ourselves we learned to fear or reject. A pink thermos in hand and in pastel pink socks, I'll walk through exploring: Why so many women feel "anti-pink" without knowing why How color psychology reveals the power of pink The deeper cultural and spiritual implications of embracing femininity The enemy's tactic of twisting God-given beauty into something to fear Why the Proverbs 31 woman is the ultimate symbol of feminine strength (and what it says and does NOT say, which many us have taken on) And how a basement in New York City became a breakthrough moment This episode is for every woman who's ever said, "Pink isn't for me," and is now ready to challenge that narrative and embrace the full, God-crafted beauty of being a woman. 🌸 This audio experience is soft, gentle rallying dance to embrace pink—not as a stereotype, not because it does not have to be your new favorite color or obsession, but as a way to embrace the Lord's true calling of stepping into being women of God. With thoughts of pink tutus and sweet pastels, this milestone episode is a statement of strength in softness and the special, sacred identity as women of God. 📝 Resources & References: Proverbs 31 (The woman clothed in dignity and strength) Color psychology and feminine energy 🎧 Subscribe, rate, and leave a review if this episode stirred something in your heart. Struggle with People Pleasing? I Lost My Voice Constantly. Jesus Revealed THIS.

If you’re prone to people pleasing, fear judgement, and struggle to use your voice with honesty (no matter how "outgoing", "extrovert", or "introvert" you’ve labeled yourself as), this episode could transform someone’s life. I used to lose my voice one week a month. 25% of the time, I could not speak, which was absolutely delibitating to both life and work. Through years of challenges, an intense surgery at age 27, and ultimately a divine revelation, I've found that sometimes Jesus doesn’t heal us instantly because there is something He’s trying to transform for us. In a story weaving through experiences with speech therapy, the role of a compassionate speech therapist, and the profound impact of one short sentence, I know someone is meant to hear my journey of constant voice loss that was revealing a deep terror and root struggle beneath. The episode is infused with biblical references, particularly the story of Moses and the woman at the well, illustrating how God empowers us to speak and fulfill our purposes. Listener, my dear listener and friend, I pray this ignites someone to find courage in their struggles and trust in God's plan, knowing that their voice matters. 00:00 Introduction: The Struggle with Voice Loss 01:14 The Impact of Losing My Voice, the Detriment to My Life, Work, and Mental Health 02:21 A Turning Point: Surgery and Setbacks 02:46 The Role of Faith and God's Plan 03:16 Finally, I Got A More Clear Diagnosis and...A Surprising Next Step 10:40 Speech Therapy: The Mind-Blowing Way a Speech Therapist Saw My Heart and the Real Issues 20:58 Biblical Parallels: The Story of Moses and the Power of Voice 29:14 Conclusion: Embracing Your Voice and Purpose Because You Matter, Your Voice Matters, and Victory is Possible Allison Evelyn Website: AllisonEvelyn.com  (https://www.allisonevelyn.com/) Allison Evelyn IG: https://www.instagram.com/allisonevelyn_/ Holy F Christian Podcast IG: https://www.instagram.com/holyfthepodcast/
