My DNA Test Revealed My Dad Wasn’t My Dad | NPE Christian Testimony

My DNA Test Revealed My Dad Wasn’t My Dad | NPE Christian Testimony Nena thought she knew exactly who her family was. She had taken an Ancestry DNA test years earlier, barely paying attention when emails about new DNA matches appeared in her inbox. But eventually, something inside her kept telling her to look. When she finally did, she discovered something that would change everything: The man she had always known as her dad wasn’t her biological father. In this episode of Holy Wreckage, Nena shares what happened after her DNA discovery sent her searching for answers—and eventually led her to a biological father and family she never knew she had. This conversation is for anyone who has discovered through DNA testing that a parent isn't biologically related to them, is searching for a biological parent, is grieving the family they thought they knew, or is struggling to understand where God is in the middle of an identity-changing discovery. Nena's story is a reminder that even when we don't understand what God is doing, nothing is wasted. A Pastor’s Sex Addiction: When Willpower Failed, Jesus Met Him at Rock Bottom

What happens when you love God, serve in ministry, become a pastor—and still can’t stop the addiction destroying your life? In this episode of Holy Wreckage, Crystal sits down with Jason Lyle, host of the Sacred Grit podcast, for an honest conversation about sex addiction, shame, adoption trauma, faith, nervous system regulation, and recovery. After learning about nervous system regulation, Jason began looking beyond willpower, shame, and behavior alone. He started understanding the connection between trauma, dysregulation, impulse, the body, and the brain. This conversation is for anyone struggling with sex addiction, pornography addiction, compulsive behavior, church shame, adoption trauma, childhood trauma, emotional dysregulation, or the exhausting cycle of doing something you desperately want to stop doing.
