Problematic Sexual Behavior
<p>In this episode, host Andy Reid talks with Donal Clifford about problematic sexual behavior, sexual addiction, pornography and support for people who develop an addiction to sex. </p> <p>Donal is a Psychotherapist (M.I.A.C.P, M.A.C.I) specializing in sexual addictions / compulsions, problematic or addictive porn use, and relationship and intimacy issues.<br> <br> Donal is a trained addiction counsellor. He worked at a residential addiction center for almost six years, during which he trained as a Psychotherapist and completed a BA in psychotherapy. Following this, Donal trained as a sexual addiction therapist with leading expert, Paula Hall, in the UK.</p> <p>As well as working in private practice since 2013, Donal began developing the Sex And Love Therapy (S.A.L.T.) program in 2014. The S.A.L.T program is a customized group therapy service which supports people in regulating their problematic sexualized behavior, and eliminates any internalized shame or isolation that may be associated with it. The S.A.L.T. program became part of the Sexual Health Centre in Cork (Ireland) in 2020, and has seen a steady rise in individuals seeking counselling for sexual and relational concerns.</p>

Connecting People to Substance Use Disorder Services
<p>In this episode, host Andy Reid talks with two HVCS employees about two of our newer programs aimed at curbing substance use disorder and saving lives. Sarah Santos is <a href="https://www.hudsonvalleycs.org/rcc/" target="_blank">Regional Care Coordinator for New York Matters/HVCS</a>, and connect clients who have survived overdose with resources before they leave the emergency room. Stephanie Tedeschi is a <a href="https://www.hudsonvalleycs.org/hub/" target="_blank">Harm Reduction Specialist</a> based in Poughkeepsie who helps Dutchess County clients access an array of helpful services. Both discuss the aims of their respective new programs and the progress they are making. And, both drive classic cars. That's just a fun aside.</p>
