You might not have guessed it from looking at the movies we talked about for the last two seasons but we actually always intended to cover other sort of Hong Kong movies than the action or genre ones. The timing was never right, there were always ideas, or maybe we didn't feel ready yet? Well, guess what? We are now, and we are covering Chungking Express from the beloved, and equally criticized, Wong Kar-Wai. Released in 1994 and shot while editing Dung che sai duk/Ashes of Time, Chungking Express is an incredible movie about two love stories. You might also notice the lack of introduction about other random subjects in this episode, but fear not dear listener, as we kept those for the end simply because... we forgot? We were too excited to cover this movie? So stick around if you want to hear us talk about Eric Khoo, Devil May Cry and Like a Dragon 8. We know, we are late once again but we have come back with an episode jam packed with movies for your listening pleasure.
