Get Well Soon Jalen Hurts
Welcome back to Hoop and Huddle! It's episode 11, and Nate Marshall pays off the Bills-Rams bet shirtless with a Cowboys star painted on his chest while Luke Touma celebrates Josh Allen's overtime takeover. The guys break down the Bills' 37-34 OT win over the Rams at SoFi: MVP chants from Bills Mafia, Sean McVay kicking instead of going for two, Puka Nacua's 17 catches, Khalil Shakir's shoestring tackle, Greg Rousseau's blocked field goal, the Rams cutting their kicker, and whether Josh steals James Cook's touchdowns. Then the NFL Week 6 preview: Seahawks-Broncos on Thursday Night Football, Eagles-Panthers and Bryce Young's breakout, Chiefs-Chargers and the Jeremiah Smith tank, Bears-Falcons with Caleb Williams back, and Cowboys-Packers on Sunday Night Football, plus Chris Berman's Mike Ditka tribute, Arch Manning truthers, Bronny James and the nepo draft, and the best Houston heckles. In the Thursday mailbag, a Bengals fan fires back, a Patriots fan relives getting cucked by the Helmet Catch, breaking news drops that Jalen Hurts is out with a blood clot, and the guys build NBA couples from Tatum and Jaylen Brown to Wemby and Chet. Do LeBron and Embiid Have BEEF?
Welcome back to Hoop and Huddle! Luke Touma and Nate Marshall kick things off with Nate going nuts in the green room over a WNBA "Finals" game that turned out to be a two-year-old rerun. Then it's the LeBron vs Joel Embiid drama after Mike Breen's late-to-practice story, LeBron and Jaylen Brown as first-team All-Insufferable, and a tour of NBA preseason: LaMelo and Ant in Minnesota, the Pacers running again, Steph vs Kobe, the Celtics swapping Jaylen Brown for Paul George, the Thunder's backup Chet, and Draymond's prosthetic chest. On the football side: Lane Johnson's retirement and the Cam Jurgens trade, whether Howie Roseman is rebuilding the Eagles, Eagles-Jags in London, Michael Penix and Bijan Robinson in the Falcons' blowout of the Saints, Lamar Jackson's injury, Cowboys-Bucs on Thursday Night Football, Brock Purdy's Mr. Irrelevant MVP case ahead of Niners-Seahawks, Raiders-Pats, and Bills-Rams on Monday Night Football. Drake Maye OUTPLAYS Josh Allen
Welcome back to Hoop and Huddle! Luke Touma and Nate Marshall break down NFL Week 4, starting with Luke's all-time worst Sunday: the Patriots beating the Bills 29-26. Drake Maye bounces back with 3 TDs after a brutal fumble, Efton Chism makes the game-winning catch on a burnt Bills secondary, and Josh Allen throws a pick into double coverage with the checkdown wide open. Plus the Eagles going 0-for-12 on third down in a loss to the Rams, CeeDee Lamb's 17-catch game winner over the 0-4 Texans, Brian Flores' Vikings defense, Kenneth Walker carrying the Chiefs past the Raiders, the Jags beating the Bengals, Brock Purdy's MVP case as the Niners beat the Broncos, Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy's sideline blowup, and Bryce Young's comeback season as the Panthers beat the Lions on Sunday Night Football. They also get into micheladas vs Bloody Marys, the Heat in preseason, the tush push, and both hosts' top 5 teams after four weeks. New episodes twice a week. Subscribe! Follow us! Is Brock Purdy the MVP?? NFL Week 4 Preview w/ Peter Schrager
ESPN's Peter Schrager joins Hoop and Huddle! Luke Touma and Nate Marshall get Peter's take on Steve Smith's brutal JJ McCarthy verdict, the Bills under Joe Brady, his Super Bowl pick streak, and whether Drake Maye is really Mike Vrabel's guy in New England. Plus Brock Purdy's MVP case and what's wrong with the Eagles defense. Peter also tells the story of getting ignored by Tim Dillon twice. Then the boys preview NFL Week 4: Steelers vs Browns on Thursday Night Football, Chiefs vs Raiders, Rams vs Eagles, Jaguars vs Bengals, Broncos vs 49ers, Cowboys vs Texans and Bills vs Patriots. Drake Maye and The Russini Curse
Welcome back to Hoop and Huddle! Luke Touma and Nate Marshall open the show with Minnesota college coach P.J. Fleck's viral blood-smearing moment, then break down the best Sunday of the season: the Bills winning with 5 turnovers vs the Chargers, Brock Purdy's MVP case and the 49ers "substation" injury curse, Drake Maye's yips in a 35-6 blowout vs the Jaguars, the Mike Vrabel–Dianna Russini drama, Tyler Loop's Ronaldo celebration after a 56-yard game winner in Brazil as the Ravens beat the Cowboys, Sam Darnold's pick six vs the Commanders, and the Broncos' wild comeback over the Rams on Sunday Night Football. Are The New York Giants DEAD Without Jaxson Dart? w/ Chris O’Connor
This week, Luke Touma and Nate Marshall are joined by actor/comedian Chris O'Connor ("Tires"). The guys talk Jaxson Dart's injury and they've got some questions. Should he have walked off the field? Is John Harbaugh serious about a playoff return? And how bad was Jameis Winston in relief? They break down what Dart's injury means for the NFC East race (Eagles, Jayden Daniels, Cowboys) and argue whether today's NFL stars get hurt more than the guys who played through everything back in the day. Plus: Brock Purdy takes NFC Player of the Week (6 TD, 1 turnover, 80% completions) while the 49ers dominate on both sides of the ball, giving up only 20 points all season. Can San Francisco stay healthy? And who are the best teams in the NFL this year: the same old contenders (Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, Eagles) or somebody new? Then it's the full NFL Week 3 preview: Eagles vs Bears on Monday Night Football (Ben Johnson, the points record, Tyson Bagent, Caleb Williams' status), Bengals vs Steelers (Aaron Rodgers vs a real Cincinnati defense, and is DK Metcalf washed?), Patriots vs Jaguars (Drake Maye, AJ Brown, Mike Vrabel), Bills vs Chargers (Justin Herbert, Jim Harbaugh, Mike McDaniel) and Ravens vs Cowboys, the best game of the week. Caleb Carted Off, The Browns Won a Game, The Chiefs Walk It Off in OT
Welcome to episode 4 of Hoop and Huddle, the comedy sports podcast hosted by Luke Touma and Nate Marshall, produced by YMH Studios. NFL Week 2 is in the books and it was a wild one. The Bills beat the Lions 41-31 after going up 21-0, and the game was over by the second quarter. Josh Allen now has 9 touchdowns and 77 Bills points through two weeks, he's never looked better, and the Joe Brady hire is paying off. But the Bills defense still doesn't look right and the Lions defense looks atrocious. Plus, the Josh Allen "ball hog" allegations. The Eagles hold off the Titans 24-20 on a Jalen Hurts game-winning drive capped by a touchdown to Darius Cooper. Philly is 2-0 and has looked bad in both games, which is the most Eagles thing ever. Deshaun Watson legacy game! The Browns beat the Bucs 23-19 behind Watson's 24-for-30, 238 yards and 2 TDs, including the late go-ahead score. Meanwhile Baker Mayfield follows up his new 3-year, $165 million deal with two dreadful games in a row. Ravens vs Saints gets the Stavvy treatment: a controversial call, Lamar Jackson's game-losing interception on a horrible pass, and Tyler Shough proving he has ice in his veins. Bears vs Vikings turns ugly. Brian Flores' defense eats Caleb Williams alive all day, then Caleb goes down and gets carted off crying with what looked like an Achilles or ACL tear but turned out to be a hamstring. Tyson Bagent and the Bears get to 4th and 2 with one second left and Bagent gets sacked. The Patriots beat the Steelers 20-3 and Aaron Rodgers looks horrible: 187 yards, no touchdowns, a pick and a fumble six. Time to bench him? Why aren't the Steelers playing Drew Allar, who has the size, the arm and a good preseason? And Drake Maye isn't much better at 1 touchdown and 4 picks on the year. Sunday Night Football gives us The Laquon Treadwell Game. The Chiefs beat the Colts 33-30 on a walk-off field goal in overtime. Patrick Mahomes goes 32-for-47 with 382 yards and 3 TDs, Travis Kelce looks amazing, and Kenneth Walker season continues. The Colts hold KC to a field goal, hit a bomb to Treadwell who fumbles at the 20 before it's overturned, then run two straight handoffs for -2 yards, think about going for it on 4th and 8 from the 12, kick the field goal instead and lose. You still can't play conservative against the Chiefs (see: every Bills playoff loss). New episodes every week. Subscribe so you never miss a Hoop and Huddle. Lions - Bills Shootout? Chiefs Are BACK? Aaron Donald RETURNS!
NFL Week 2 is here and the Hoop and Huddle guys are locking in picks, bets and bad takes. Luke Touma and Nate Marshall break down Monday Night Football: the Chiefs looking like the Chiefs again, Kenneth Walker III going nuclear, a loaded KC rookie class (Mansoor Delane, R. Mason Thomas, Peter Woods) and whether Bo Nix and the Broncos are already cooked. Is Patrick Mahomes actually washed, or is that the dumbest take in sports? Then it's a full NFL Week 2 preview: Bills vs Lions on Thursday Night Football (over/under 53.5, Josh Allen vs Jahmyr Gibbs, Buffalo's new stadium debut), Eagles vs Titans and the Cam Ward question, Bears vs Vikings with Ben Johnson going head to head with Brian Flores, Raiders vs Chargers, Seahawks vs Cardinals with Sam Darnold out and Jacoby Brissett stepping in, and Giants vs Rams on MNF. Plus: the four players under the most pressure in Week 2: Drake Maye, Justin Herbert, Jordan Love, Baker Mayfield, the worst betting lines of the week, Deshaun Watson somehow starting again in Cleveland, and a friendly wager where the loser chugs a beer at 10am next Monday. New episodes twice a week. Subscribe for NFL picks, betting takes and sports talk that isn't boring. Try not to lose your Bills gun at the bar. Chargers Are FRAUDS!!! | Hoop and Huddle
Welcome to Episode 2 of Hoop and Huddle, the comedy sports podcast hosted by Luke Touma and Nate Marshall, produced by YMH Studios. Thursday Night Football: the 49ers destroy the Rams 27-7, the Australia travel plan backfires, Stafford looks washed, and Myles Garrett goes 0 sacks, 0 tackles, 0 pressures before landing on IR with knee surgery. Is the Rams hype train dead? Meanwhile the Niners defense looks elite with Fred Warner and Nick Bosa healthy. Texas vs Ohio State: Arch Manning starts shaky, Jeremiah Smith dices up the Texas defense, then Texas erases a 23-3 hole with 21 unanswered fourth quarter points to win 24-23 and take the No. 1 ranking. Plus the Tanner Take: Texas sucks. NFL Week 1 Sunday: Josh Allen goes nuclear (357 total yards, 4 TDs) in an 8-lead-change Bills win while CJ Stroud beats the fraud allegations. The Bears hang 59 on the Panthers with 4 Caleb Williams touchdowns, but Bryce Young balls out too. The Ravens drop 41 on the Colts with prime Lamar and Derrick Henry the vampire (144 yards, 3 TDs). The Lions beat the Saints in OT after a failed 2-point try, Tyler Shough is the truth, and the entire NFC South is 0-1. Trevor Lawrence throws 4 TDs as the Jags beat the Browns, so why is Deshaun Watson still starting? The Eagles beat the Commanders 24-22 after Stefon Diggs' goalpost celebration penalty, a Hurts first down on 3rd and 18, a Goedert 42-yard TD, and a stuffed shovel-pass 2-point conversion. Jacoby Brissett and the Cardinals derail the annual Chargers hype train 26-14. Kyler Murray throws a pick on the first play and gets knocked out, then Carson Wentz and a 22-point fourth quarter lift the Vikings over the Packers 39-22 (shoutout Brian Flores) as Jordan Love nears Herbert territory. And the Giants beat the Cowboys 28-20 on Sunday Night Football: Jaxson Dart is the real deal, the media wants Dallas to be good so badly, and the Jets and Giants both win openers for the first time since 2009. Also: future live episode at Chili's? We wrap with the Way Too Early MVP Race: Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence, Jaxson Dart, and their odds. New episodes every week. Puka Nakua Is A Menace | Hoop and Huddle
Welcome to Hoop and Huddle, the all-new comedy sports podcast hosted by Luke Touma and Nate Marshall, produced here at YMH Studios. Episode 1 opens with the NFL Season Opener, and it went off the rails fast. Sam Darnold went down on the fifth play, AJ Brown is out with an ankle injury, Romeo Doubs stunk, and Drake "The Schedule" Maye threw for 178 yards and three picks, including the one that lost the game. Luke and Nate break down the Seahawks defense swarming the Patriots, JSN's deep touchdown to tie it at 10, Maye going 3-for-9 with three interceptions on throws over 10 yards, an elite Pats hate watch, and the Drew Lock legacy game. Then it's Thursday Night Football in Australia. 49ers vs Rams down under raises the real questions: why is the NFL playing in Australia, why did the Niners spend a week there while the Rams did 24 hours, and which player is most likely to end up in an Aussie jail (it's Puka). Plus Aaron Donald sitting out Week 1, Niners injuries, and whether the Rams live up to the hype. WAGER OF THE WEEK: Who covers their spread by more, the Bills or the Eagles? Loser gets their face painted up next time. NFL Week 1 Preview: Bills offense vs Texans defense, the new-look Eagles without AJ Brown or Kevin Patullo, Cowboys vs Giants on Sunday Night Football, Broncos vs Chiefs and whether Patrick Mahomes looks healthy, old married Travis Kelce, the Chiefs' 2026 outlook, a stacked AFC West, the 2027 No. 1 pick battles (Jets vs Titans, Dolphins vs Raiders), and Packers vs Vikings with Kyler Murray facing a Packers defense without Micah Parsons. We close with NFL players on Antarctica: Dre Greenlaw thinks it might be a lie, and DK Metcalf says there's a secret society buried under it. Also, Jaylen Brown is boxing in Nigeria.
