CEO's Christmas Message 2025
A message from Andy Roberts MBE, CEO of Church Mission Society, for Christmas 2025.Andy Roberts, CEO of Church Mission Society, ponders the possibility of "disruption" as we follow Jesus to the edges together. We might not naturally enjoy being disrupted…yet sometimes it ends up being good for us. After all, God taking on human form with all our vulnerabilities and choosing to dwell directly among us – that is the ultimate holy disruption. And it is for our sake and the sake of the world God is actively working to redeem and renew.Donate to the Christmas Appeal Andy mentions: https://churchmissionsociety.org/christmas

Hope from the Edges - Feb 2025 - Episode 4
Our eyes and hearts have turned to Goma, DR Congo this week as violent conflict escalated between M23 rebels (back by Rwanda) and Congolese forces.
Mission partner Martin Gordon, Bishop of Goma, is actually featured in this current episode of Hope from the Edges – recorded before he was forced to leave the area with his family for safety.
It’s been a stark reminder that mission at the edges in our world is unpredictable, challenging and sometimes perilous.
And yet, God has been at work – as you’ll see in this episode – in Goma, in the Middle East and in Cumbria. So, we must not lose hope. Jesus never gives up. Neither should we.
As you sit down to watch this short video, please do join in prayer for the people and situations featured. You can read more about their stories via the links below. The people you’ll encounter in this video are new and growing followers of Jesus – and your prayerful support sustains them.
