HMY Summer Series: The Beasts of Summer: Razorback

Our Summer Series continues as we take the Time Machine back to the Ozploitation era to check out Razorback. We talk about the odd career of Russell Mulcahy and wonder what happened. We also discuss whether the main character in this movie moves on a little too fast from his dead wife, talk about Hogzilla and the intelligence of pigs, and dissect how music videos informed one of the best sequences of this movie.

We spend the first section of this episode talking about the journey to getting this one recorded including near death experiences starting generators, basement tents, and toddlers coughing into balloons and then shoving the ballons directly into their parents mouths. If that is not of any interest to you, skip ahead to about 20 minutes in for our standard unmatched film and music analysis.

Hosted on Acast.
