HRS is a podcast where we look at each episode of Baywatch from a unique homosexual perspective. Join Josh as he pushes Denny through every episode of beach adventures, keeping an eye out for the hottest extras and the craziest happenings. Travel back in time to the halcyon days of the turn-of-the-century as we discuss 240+ episodes of classic syndicated schlock, searching for the hints and scraps of anything gay (while losing our minds) along the way.
FEBRUARY 8TH, 1993 - An escaped mental patient stalks the beach and it's not long before there's a full-blown hostage situation! With Stephanie and Summer both captives of the madman, he spices things up with a ticking time bomb! It's a race against time that will need the full force of the Los Angeles Police Department and Mitch Buchannon to take the psycho down! And just how do Hobie2's budding voyeuristic tendencies help save the day??
It's the episode that inspired Hot Red Shorts - A Gay Watch of Baywatch and implied there'd be a lot more explosions than we've gotten so far! There's still plenty of peril and even a bit of peeping in this latest turn, a simple story that zips along! Everybody gets their turn to mug dramatically in the camera, even favorites Jackie Quinn and surfer stud Slade! Plus Mitch gets to demonstrate his latest super power, this one taken straight from Bugs Bunny -- no wonder Germany loves him!

Rendezvous (BWs07e17)
APRIL 7TH, 1996 - Doomed romance is in the air (and under the sea) when love goes wrong! On the surface, two star-crossed teens play out a tortured affair, with their parents dead-set on tearing them apart! Meanwhile, Cody finds affection beneath the waves from a mermaid with a familiar face! Is our blond beefcake suffering from oxygen deprivation or has he really found a creature from myth? And just why is his lady love, the always alluring CJ, so keen for her man to meet his fantastical fishy fan?
There's pubescent sincerity, suicidal ideation, and fairy tale romance on this episode of Hot Red Shorts - A Gay Watch of Baywatch! The always cute but usually dopey Manny, junior lifeguard from the streets, gives us a window into some earnest emotional yearning from a set of teens, a Romeo + Juliet parallel that's impossible to miss. But who cares about adolescent angst when CJ and Cody are burning up the screen!? CJ continues to prove just how open-minded she is, fully accepting the existence of mermaids and pretty cool with one gunning for her boyfriend. Just how accepting can one woman be?! I guess when it comes to Cody, nobody can be blamed for how they react!
