B158 佛看顧病比丘
這則故事提到，有一位比丘健康的時候都不去看望、照顧他人，後來他自己生了重病，都沒有人來照顧他。
佛陀很慈悲，親自去看望這位生病比丘，並為他清潔身體，開示佛法。
我們學佛應該互相幫助，即使是出家人，沒有親兄弟，但是應該記得「視世尊為父、視經法為母，視同學為兄弟」；《大智度論》也說「佛如醫王、法如良藥、僧如瞻病人」。「佛如醫王」，我們要尊敬世尊如醫王；「法如良藥」，不是開個藥單就病好了，要如法地服藥；「僧如瞻病人」，大家同修道友，就好像護理師或者護士，如瞻病人。這些都值得我們反省，並依教奉行。
