Hult Growth Mindset Awards 2021 - Guests Anders Bjornberg, Program Manager. And Daniel Emms, Assistant Dean.

"Campus Dean Samineh Shaheem wanted but also felt it natural to introduce an award acknowledging students who displayed a strong sense of growth mindset throughout their studies. To really make something of it. Due to the attributes obvious importance to Hult as an institution.  A  member of faculty quickly drew links between the 'koru' originating in New Zealand and the award ethos.  The koru (Māori for "loop or coil") is a spiral shape based on the appearance of a new unfurling silver fern frond – native to New Zealand. It is an integral symbol in Māori culture (the indigenous people of New Zealand), where it symbolises new life, growth, strength. Conveying the  idea of perpetual movement, while the inner coil suggests returning to the point of origin. The awards are fashioned in the shape of the koru, though the pandemic did affect our ability to acquire these this year. Here’s hoping we can do so again." - Daniel Emms Assistant Dean.
