05 - Kampus Mahal Salah Siapa?
<p>Episode 5 mendiskusikan riset @josephrdaniel, PhD candidate dari University of Liverpool, tentang problematika pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia. Memang di satu sisi, periode pasca-reformasi memberi angin segar bagi kampus. Semakin banyak kelas menengah yang punya akses untuk kuliah. Tapi di sisi lain, privatisasi kampus juga dilematis, terutama bagi perguruan tinggi swasta di daerah. Ada kebutuhan komersialisasi untuk dapat menutup biaya operasional. Tapi juga peran inklusi sosial pada kampus tidak boleh dilupakan: kampus harus terbuka bagi semua orang. Riset @josephrdaniel mengelaborasi topik ini dari perspektif ilmu marketing. Sebagai turunan ilmu manajemen, ternyata ada sisi gelap marketing yang berpotensi melanggengkan ketimpangan ekonomi khususnya di sektor pendidikan tinggi. </p>

04 - Kredit Mikro: Solusi atau Komersialisasi Kemiskinan
<p>Episode 4 membedah riset Namira Samir (@adawnmind), PhD Candidate di London School of Economics, tentang peran kredit mikro dalam mengatasi kemiskinan di Indonesia. Di sesi pertama, Namira mengingatkan pentingnya agar para peneliti dapat memahami kemiskinan secara utuh, tidak hanya mengandalkan data statistik dan model generik semata. Kemudian, Namira memaparkan kontroversi kredit mikro selama ini. Sebagian menganggapnya sebagai solusi untuk mengentaskan kemiskinan, tetapi sebagian lagi melihat kredit mikro sebagai wujud 'komersialisasi' kemiskinan yang justru menghasilkan masalah baru. Contohnya, banyak masyarakat kecil yang justru terjebak utang berkepanjangan. Di akhir, Namira mendiskusikan program kredit mikro syariah (Islamic Microfinance) yang memiliki skema berbeda dengan kredit mikro konvensional sehingga bisa jadi lebih efektif sebagai solusi atas kemiskinan. </p>

03 - Industrialisasi: Hijrah dari yang Mentah
<p>Di episode 3 ini kita membedah riset @dimuhammad_, Master of Public Policy dari Harvard Kennedy School. Mengusung tema "Hijrah dari yang Mentah", @dimuhammad_ mengajak kita untuk berefleksi tentang pentingnya industrialisasi sebagai satu-satunya jalan agar Indonesia naik kelas dan konsisten dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan. Berbagai kebijakan perlu dirancang (dan dijalankan) agar kita tidak lagi bergantung kepada ekspor sawit, batu bara, dan bahan mentah lainnya. Dibahas juga mengenai peluang masuknya investasi asing di tengah perang dagang Amerika dan China sebagai salah satu pemicu bagi industrialisasi.</p>
