Humans in Tune: Tim Convy, Comedian & Musician
Host Darren catches up with comedian, musician, and podcaster Tim Convy on Humans in Tune as he prepares to kick off a new comedy tour alongside fellow comedian Sean O'Brien. Starting their run at The Scout Hall in Cape Girardeau, MO, the duo blends traditional stand-up with a unique "comedy rock and roll" performance featuring a live drummer. During the conversation, Convy opens up about his personal transition from playing in the St. Louis rock band Ludo to doing solo stand-up, highlighting the stark contrast in crowd expectations and the surprisingly lighter load-in process for comedy gigs.
Beyond the stage, Convy dives into his popular podcast, The Consumers, which is produced in partnership with Nate Bargatze and explores the origins and obscure trivia behind everyday iconic brands. He also gives a candid look into his personal life, discussing how he balances family commitments with writing new material and managing life on the road. For fans looking to catch the show, doors open at 6:30 PM with the performance starting at 7:30 PM, and further tour details can be found on his website.
