H&D Creative People And Places Podcast 2021
A special one-off podcast in celebration of our time as artist in residence at this years Creative People and Places conference; an online meeting place for everyone interested in shifting approaches in inclusive arts and cultural engagement. This podcast combines the best bits from our power play workshop sessions with new collaborations discussing anything from co-creation to power to community to joy, with some non-passive delegate interrupters! There’s also some DIY Jingles made on the day, and a cocktail unmastered class in which we attempt to teach all how to make a H&D cocktail to the future.

Vijay battles through the heat interviewing folks from a distance + reconnecting with his South London roots. He has a chat with his old boss @sandra_redmond from Molly Maids where he worked as a cleaner with my Mum. He stops off at the newsagents he family ran, which was the same place where his Nan lived and spoke to a couple of people there who remembered her from 25+ years ago. Mitcham is very special place, which makes up a lot of the Veej you know today. A lot of working class and British/Indian heritage I’m bloody proud of! ♥️Massive thanks to @fran_gib who was artist assisting me today 🌞 Radio Local will be on 21/22 August live from Mitcham.
