Bursa erkek Lisesi müdürü Rıfat Bey diyor ki; "Bu mektebi Sultan Abdülhamit Han bütün Osmanlı memleketinin her vilayetine, Manastırdan Halep'e kadar her vilayetine bu mekteplerin aynısını yaptırdı. Hatta ben Manastır'da okuduğum ve Bu binanın aynısı vardı orada. Manastır'da okudum ve bu binaların yerini kendisi saraydan tayin ediyor. Falantepe'ye yaptıracaksınız. Her şehirde yaptırdığı binaların hem planını hepsi zaten aynı plan üzerine kendisi çizmiş, kendisi göndermiş ve yerini de her şehirdeki yaptırdığı yerini de kendisi tayin ediyor. Dolayısıyla Bursa Keşiş Dağı olduğu için gündüzleri kısadır. Niye? Güneş Geç doğuyor. Yanda koskoca dağ var. Güneş geç doğuyor, erken batıyor başka yerlere göre. Dolayısıyla bu mektebi öyle bir tepeye yaptırmış ki Bursa'da güneş ilk defa bu mektebe gelir, en son bu mektepten ayrılır. Güneş evvela buraya doğar. En son buradan ayrılır. <p>Büyükler buyurdular ki;1947'den sonra öğretmenlik hayatımda engin denizden bir damla gibi olan bilgilerimi gençlerin temiz ruhlarına aktarmaya çalıştım. Gonca gibi açmakla olan onların temiz körpe dimağlarına engin denizden bir parça gibi olan bilgilerimi aktarmaya çalıştım. İçimde yanan iman ışığından onların saf kalplerine birer kıvılcım sağmak istedim.</p>
