A Mental Health Awareness Panel Discussion
<p>We need this now more than ever and you are important to us. Because of this, we had a panel of experts to discuss Mental Health. Your mental wellness is important. Your family’s mental wellness is important. And we have to have these difficult conversations to rid our community of the stigmas and the misinformation surrounding mental health.</p> <p> this open panel discussion I invited five mental health professionals who went in depth on the different forms on mental illness and its affects on the Black community. We wanted to focus on the stigmas, the disparity in help, the whys whats and hows. We envision this series as a teaching moment to educate our people on why mental health is important and the various avenues they can take. We also want to talk about the signs to look for as well as ways to cope.
