What Goes Up... | Season 1, Episode 10
In this tenth and final episode of the inaugural season, we begin with the adoption of my third dog, Fergie, who came into our home initially as a foster dog in August 2012. This occurred during the final stages of production for my documentary - Guilty Til Proven Innocent, which toured across the country in 2013 and 2014. The episodes concludes with a sensitive topic pertaining to mental health. Introducing the “I Am Human. In this ninth episode of the inaugural season, begins with an introduction to a six month puppy from the Cleveland City Kennel, who came to me as a foster dog and named Era. On The Brink Of Change | Season 1, Episode 8
In this eighth episode of the inaugural season, the pursuit to remove the inherently vicious designation for pit bulls in Ohio law continues. “On The Brink Of Change” shows the momentum starting to swing in favor of equality for all dogs, beginning with the official repeal in Toledo, which leads to more discussions about the legislation in other Ohio cities. This Is My Dog.” podcast – the show devoted to putting the individual back into the dog, as well as their human, while also examining difficult, and oftentimes controversial, animal welfare related topics that have been largely ignored, but are critical for real progress. Introducing the “I Am Human. This Is My Dog.” podcast – the show devoted to putting the individual back into the dog, as well as their human, while also examining difficult, and oftentimes controversial, animal welfare related topics that have been largely ignored, but are critical for real progress. In this fourth episode of the inaugural season, I am forced to slightly jump ahead to the spring of 2009 when I met a former marine named Leonard Shelton, who was the first person I heard that was given a citation by Lakewood Animal Control for walking an unregistered and unmuzzled "pit bull" dog within city limits shortly after the ban was in effect. Due to his recent passing on May 15, 2023, I am releasing the full interview I conducted with Leonard Shelton to honor him, as well as the friendship that developed between he and I. There Are No Accidents | Season 1, Episode 2
Introducing the “I Am Human. This Is My Dog.” podcast – the show devoted to putting the individual back into the dog, as well as their human, while also examining difficult, and oftentimes controversial, animal welfare related topics that have been largely ignored, but are critical for real progress. In this second episode of the inaugural season, I turn my attention to breed specific legislation and the fight against Lakewood, Ohio's proposed pit bull ban so I can adopt Preston. This episode covers just a few months in 2008 (May-July), but gives the listener an idea of how unsettling these laws can be for those with family pets who are guilty until proven innocent in the eyes of public officials given the power to legislate solely on how a dog looks.
