   Why can change feel so uncomfortable, even when it’s a change we desperately want? In this episode, we explore The Chemistry of Self-Sabotage and the role our brain, nervous system, hormones, neurotransmitters, emotions, and learned patterns can play when we try to create something new. Our bodies are constantly adapting to the environments and experiences we repeatedly give them. Over time, certain internal states can become familiar and predictable. When we begin changing our habits, relationships, boundaries, beliefs, goals, or circumstances, we can also begin experiencing a different internal “chemistry.” The interesting part? Even positive change can initially feel uncomfortable simply because it’s unfamiliar.
