“Widening the Lens” and Zooming Out with photographer, Brit Gill
Brit Gill is a prolific, talented, heart & soul-led “light” in the world who captures the essence of humanity, nature and the deeper layers of life not only through her photography work, but also through her exploration, studies, conversations, questioning, and digging into issues to discover truth and understand the spiritual side of life. Our conversation highlights her photo shoots and work that have taken her around the world, her values, her spiritual path and her perspectives on society’s need to embrace our differences, be authentic, courageously consider ‘diversity of thought’ and broaden the scope of the narratives we are fed by media and other institutions. Despite a few sound & tech issues, it’s a fascinating, “not-to-be-missed” conversation that dives into the deeper side of Brit.

A deep dive into the life of the talented, creative, understated, successful, compassionate JJ Walsh
JJ Walsh is the founder & face behind the thoughtfully curated “High-fashion-Euro-design meets the most beautiful elements of nature” space of Fig Facial in Vancouver, BC. In my pivot last month to feature some local voices with global hearts on my podcast, I’m honoured to share this beautiful, enlightening conversation I had with the effervescent, creative, successful soul (successful not only in her career accomplishments & business pursuits, but also in her cultivation of compassion, empowerment, love & respect within her personal & professional communities). She is one of these low-key, high-vibing & high-achieving souls one hears about that, upon meeting, cannot help but immediately admire & respect, but also feel her genuine warmth. So it may come as a surprise that when asked what her “warning label” (part of her inner character) is, she replied: “Contains jalapeños”! What those that get to know JJ is that even though she communicates and lives her life gracefully, she has a can-do attitude and doesn’t hold back. She has a constant fire inside that helps her get things done. This fire has also ignited her creative passions and her constant journey for expansion & growth in all areas of her life. We talk about her move from the UK and her transition from journalism & high fashion to parenthood, moving to a different continent, starting over, and founding & launching her wellness company & community, Fig. We dig deep into the layers of how she has grown as a person, shifted her opinions & perspectives through her vast life experiences, and learned how to “check her ego” and let go of the “stories”, people pleasing tendencies & limiting beliefs that could have held her back...but didn’t. JJ is incredibly thoughtful, conscientious, caring, intelligent, aware, creative, vision-driven, business-savvy, compassionate, respectful, and constantly envisioning new ways to refine how she works, plays, lives & loves. She calls her life a series of chapters. And her story, up to this point is inspiring, and truly a life well-lived. I loved chatting & learning from her life-chapters that have unfolded so far. I hope you enjoy! Click link in bio to listen.

A soulful, high energy, down to earth chat with one of Vancouver’s top stylists, Michelle Addison
After a fascinating dive into my 1st podcast series of discussions about the human condition, emotional intelligence, and chats with some of the global “Spiritual Twitter” community - with people who are doing their soul’s work, selflessly helping others, and really doing inner work on the daily, I’m excited to launch my 2nd podcast series with our community closer to home. I’m staying focussed on people who are doing the “inner work”, people living and working in a heart-led way, people who are “giving back” with the beautiful “gifts” they have to give the world. And I’m excited to share my first chat of this new series with Michelle Addison, one of Vancouver’s top stylists, who inspires so many of us that we really are all more powerful, capable, and beautiful than we might believe ourselves to be. This woman works harder, smarter, and more focussed than anyone I know. And she does it all with positivity, clarity, and the raddest of style. An inspiration to so many, one of the brightest lights I know, with a seemingly infinite amount of energy, and (I’m blessed to say) a part of my soul family, this beautiful soul seems to never stop. If she’s not running her business, working out, or creating beautiful memories with friends or family, she’s collaborating, connecting, referring, coaching, mentoring, volunteering, chairing committees, doing shout outs/partnering with/marketing local businesses or new start ups, and the list goes on. This heart-led woman knows how to do life well. I hope you enjoy getting to know a deeper side of Michelle in our flow-chat.
