   Kristin Handley Loves Horror

Animator and horror artist Kristin Handley joins the I Love Horror Podcast to talk about her love of horror, the films that fuel her fandom, and why we keep coming back for another scare! We get into what makes a horror movie stick with us and tackle the question every guest has to answer: "Why do you love horror?" Naturally, we get sidetracked deciding what we'd wish for with our own One Wish Willows, and I blow Kristin's mind with my "Obsession" fan theory before making a very subtle, or painfully obvious, attempt to lure Curry Barker onto the podcast. Kristin also tells me to stop giving away good ideas for free after I pitch a way to market the new "Blair Witch Project" that could recapture the original's "wait, is this real?" magic. Along the way, we nerd out over our shared love of found footage and revisit the scariest moments across the "Hell House LLC" franchise, because nothing brings horror fans together quite like comparing which scenes cost us the most sleep. Be sure to follow Kristin Handley on all her social media pages, and enjoy her amazing horror art. She will also be at the Frightmare in the Falls in Niagara Falls, Canada (Oct 23–25), so pay her a visit and let her know how you liked the episode! - Instagram: @atomicblondehq - Shop: https://atomicblondeart.com (https://atomicblondeart.com/) The podcast's intro music was provided by Jax Kellington. Courtney ElizXbeth Loves Horror

Predator catcher and content creator Courtney ElizXbeth joins the I Love Horror Podcast to talk about confronting real-life horrors and the fictional ones she loves watching! We discuss what inspired her to start catching predators, how she approaches those confrontations, and the role humor plays in handling such serious subject matter. We also dig into three of her favorite horror movies: "Halloween H20," "Saw II," and "Final Destination 5." Our conversation gets deep when we talk about memorable kills, practical effects, and twists that still deserve appreciation. Of course, we get to the question every guest has to answer: "Why do you love horror?" Things naturally take a few detours. We discuss Michael Myers' unexpected upper-body strength, imagine his second career as a Halloween interior decorator, and question why Jigsaw's instructions are apparently harder to follow than his traps are to escape. We also explore the questionable strategy of judging a date by their movie selection, debate whether predator-catching videos are the ultimate prank show (with consequences), and decide I'd be the funny guy in a horror movie who dies in a deeply undignified way. Naturally, the pool scene from "The Final Destination" enters the conversation as I give it the medical designation nobody asked for: "the ultimate colonoscopy." As always, thanks for listening, and be sure to rate/review the show on whatever podcast platform you use. As I always say: if you're a true fan of horror, every night can be a FRIGHT NIGHT! Mini Interview with the Cast of "Last Chance Motel"

I checked into the "Last Chance Motel" with questions for the cast and left with a newfound appreciation for my censor button. Heather Langenkamp, Monica Keena, and Zachary Roozen join me on the I Love Horror Podcast for a special mini interview about what excited them about joining the cast of "Last Chance Motel", written by Danielle Harris, Scout Taylor-Compton, and Brandon Slagle. Danielle Harris and Scout Taylor-Compton not only wrote/directed the film, but also star in it alongside today's guests. Our conversation leads us into our shared appreciation for practical effects, which gets me a little too enthusiastic about one particular scene when talking to Heather Langenkamp about how impressed I was by her performance. Thankfully, the bleep button earns its keep and helps to make sure that no spoilers were given on this amazing horror film! I ask Heather Langenkamp and Monica Keena a very hard-hitting Freddy Krueger question. Zachary Roozen also tells me how great it was to be surrounded by some of horror's most famous, talented, and legendary female actors. We also learn that you apparently haven't made it in the movie industry until someone mangles your last name. Before we check out, I ask everyone the question that brings us all together: "Why do you love horror?" Make your next movie night a motel stay with this terrifying and well-made movie!! "Last Chance Motel" arrives on VOD October 6th. Follow the cast through the links below, share this conversation with a fellow horror fan, and always remember that if you're a true fan of horror, every night can be a FRIGHT NIGHT.
