Scream 3

This episode has been in the making for a long time. Joined by non-binary film fanatic/influencer Dylan Mentis, tackle the show's first big horror franchise. It seems we like the talk about the thirds in movies series, huh?! We dive into Wes Craven's legacy, his long-lasting influence, and the influence of this series in the horror genre. This was a film that was still around for Blockbuster Video and Hollywood Video days. This film covers trilogies, celebrity, trauma, and with a huge meta-horror influence. Still resident 20 years later the film has grown into starting conversations about the Me Too Movement. There is some serious social commentary but all we love Scream as a series, specifically Scarem 4. And if you haven't seen the film then I won't spoil it here (but we will spoil the series' best cameo). #LetKirbyLive

My Science Project

Jumping right back into the underseen films of yesteryear, we are tackling this '80s gem. Part teen drama, mostly sci-fi adventure, part sci-fi action movie, My Science Project has it all for genre nerds. It came out in the height of '80s time travel sci-fi 1985. I jump into the connections the cast with other films of the genre. How this movie does teen of the '80s better than most. And this is the first film the podcast has covered starring Dennis Hopper. It's a milestone that has to be celebrated there. *Note: this new release of the film was done by Kino Lorber.

Thor: Ragnarok

After a bit of a hiatus, we are back! This is the first dip into the MCU and the bigger money-making film we've covered on the show. Zimmy is back again to help us dive into everything Thor, Loki, and Asgard. Also, there is a surprisingly a lot of Star Wars chatter in this episode. I don't know why to be honest. Maybe because they are both own by Disney? We share our love for the Goldblum. There are no WandaVision spoilers, just a heads up. This is the funniest movie in the MCU catalog and we will give you all the reasons why. Did you ever know there is someone who connects the MCU movies to the Fox Marvel films and it's not Stan Lee? Come listen to find out who that is...
