Frankenstein, Frank-N-Furter, Freddy, & The Final Boy — Queerness in Fantasy, Pt. 1 (ft. Oscar Montoya)

Greetings ghouls and ghosts, demons and divas… We’re kicking off our Queerness in Fantasy series with a deep dive into all things Horror, through a queer lens (of course). In this episode, we sit down with “Dropout” actor, comedian, and horror-movie fanatic, Oscar Montoya. Learn why Oscar thinks all horror is inherently queer, why LGBTQ+ people can see themselves in both the monster and the final girl, and how the community turned “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” from forgotten flop to cult classic. What does Oscar believe horror movies and the ballroom scene have in common? Grab your popcorn, turn on your TV’s, and get ready for this monstrous exploration of the horror genre. Don’t worry – no jump scares included. 📝 RESOURCES/SHOW NOTES: Visit our site for full show notes on the writers and topics we mentioned → (http://thefutureperfectproject.org/podcast)https://thefutureperfectproject.org/podcast (https://thefutureperfectproject.org/podcast) (https://thefutureperfectproject.org/podcast) We want to hear from you!
